While Mississippi State players and staffers mourn the loss of their head coach Mike Leach, according to longtime Mississippi State reporter Steve Robertson, college coaches have been trying to persuade his players to enter the transfer portal through third parties. Pretty gross... (The Spun)

I'll take a different approach than most here. While when I first read the headline I thought it was shameful and showed the lack of class that runs rampant in this sport, I then second guessed if this is actually true. Hear me out. You don't want a mass exodus because of Leach's death. I mean a lot of players are there because of the type of person Leach is. You're not finding that anywhere else. Maybe this is to curtail on both ends (players and outsider coaches), about making plans so soon. This is a Miss St guy whose covered them for decades. It wouldn't stop everybody, but if it just gets a couple on both ends, it will have done its job. Again, just a speculation on my part. This industry is all about subterfuge anyway right? Just something to think about.

Well we'll have the short list of garbage coaches once we start seeing MSU players pop up on other teams.

If true, I hope he does make them famous. Would be awesome if everyone turned their back on those coaches whenever they entered a room; refused to talk to them; maybe fill their windows with bricks.

This shite is a Mess. No sportsmanship in all of this will end up killing the game unless its fixed. This is a flat out joke and teams doing this should be ashamed.

I know this is a dog eat dog world. Survival of the fittest. But I wish these particular coaches in this particular situation would get outed for the ridicule they deserve. Leave this team alone for a little while for gods sake.

I’m sure they are open to suggestions on how to stop this. They don’t t have subpoena power so unless someone drops the evidence in their lap, they are SOL
