Former LSU defensive tackle Sydir Mitchell appeared on TikTok Live this week and stated that it was Brian Kelly's decision for him to leave the team back in September.
Mitchell said he has been lying low, finishing up school, and would definitely be interested in returning to the team.
"Things happen, people come to disagreements, but there were no hard feelings," Mitchell said.
Mitchell transferred to LSU from Texas in the offseason and did not play in LSU's first two games of the season. Kelly revealed on September 10 that he was no longer on the team.
“Look, there are standards,” Kelly said. “I can confirm he is no longer on the roster but we have standards that need to be met. And those standards were not met. Like any business or organization, you have workplace standards. So, those standards were not met. That’s all I’m going to talk about relative to Sydir because he’s no longer with us.”
