I think you missed the last several minutes of ep 2. Speaking of ep 2, when Daemon is in the prison cells he freed some people. Do we know who they are?

Then the guard tells him he has a gift (Otto) from Larys Strong. I'm still unsure what game Larys is playing. Why would he give Otto to Daemon?
Yea internet search shows that he made $200k his last year coaching and probably less all the years before that. He then made around $400k as AD. That was about 20 years ago. He probably doesn't have a whole lot left. Yall forget that these crazy coaching contracts weren't around back then. It's too bad Woodward didn't hire him

he can afford it

Can he? What were we paying Skip back in the day? Genuinely curious

Also his prices are really good compared to what is out there

Grey market is much cheaper
I can't know for sure but I doubt he would've given up on himself as a hitter just a couple months into his FR year. Maybe it was for selfish reasons or maybe it was to help the team, prob a bit of both, but im gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. But regardless of the reasoning, the outcome is clear: he made a position switch that benefitted the team and directly contributed to a CWS championship. He takes a ton of hate from the rant for no real justified reason. He was never a high upside guy and as I mentioned before, he outplayed his talent and some of you are still upset that he wasn't better

This is paradise. Amazing roads, awesome infrastructure. quick construction on roads, no potholes.

Where exactly are you? I'm planning my move that way soon and trying to map out a few towns to go visit

She can do the same thing by potentially sparing Alicent and Haleana.

Aemond might kill them himself
Idk I love this show but I thought this season was a let down. I can't quite put my finger on the reason why though. I guess maybe it's because I had such high hopes since the storyline makes for so much potential, but I don't have confidence that the writers are about to stick the landing. I think I might also just be getting bored with it
Maybe Kristy will fix her haircut now that she's back on the market

$250K is not life changing money

It is at 20 years old. If he invests $175k and leaves it until he's 65 that's $2.4M at 6% annual return
NIL isn't regulated enough to enforce everyone to sign a contract so then the best players would just go to whichever school is willing them to offer the $ without a contract

You would rather Congress take over college athletics rather than the NCAA growing a set?

Im not a fan of government intervention in most things. But the people who say this ignore the fact that the government has already intervened. The NCAA gets overruled by the courts everytime they "grow a set."
The government has made this bed and neutered the NCAA. Only the government can fix that which they caused. Which unfortunately means it'll never happen. It's too late. But I'd at least like to see someone try

When was the last time the federal government did something that worked efficiently.

Yea the NCAA is so much better

NCAA needs to get off of their asses and do this right. They have been useless for 30 years.

 you countered yourself
Paz wasn't being counted on to be a SP next year. We have 3 SPs in 2027 out of Moore, Schmidt, Evans, and Hood. 3 of those guys leave after 2027 and ideally Paz would have proven something in high leverage relief by that point to give him an inside track at starting in 2028 along with Hood, Ricken, Velasquez, and any others who earn time next year. I see this as more of a loss for 2028 than 2027 but there's plenty of time to fix that.

Moffett started earning a lot more PT towards the end of his 2nd season. Not sure why he left but he got less time at Texas though I think he got hurt IIRC

quote:

I said it before, but you want a guy like Paz or Roxy that’s got big talent you need to develop, but you can’t have a whole team of those guys.

This is essential roster construction. You need a team that's good enough to win most of their games while you let your high upside guys work through their struggles so you can give them time to develop by May while still being a host
Interesting post. What are your thoughts on the fall out for the middle east
