Drink seems to hire pretty good assistants. That's about it

If he keeps this up he will be an NFL HC in 3 years. College programs think they're too good to hire someone without more experience but the NFL doesn't really care as much. Unfortunately the timing doesn't really work for LSU. Maybe if he had 2 years of being a DC but not half a season. By the time we're willing to hire him he will become unattainable for college teams

Maybe him too. Idk it's a crapshoot without being in the interview room and hearing their plans for building out the rest of their staff. I like that Klein and Stein run their side of the ball themselves. Kirby is very involved with the UGA defense so it's harder to guess what Schumann will be like without Kirby but otoh he's had the better mentors

Klein, Stein, Hartline. One of these 3 will be the next big thing. Odds are the other 2 will fail. Gotta pick the right one but that would require an actual interview process

Ole Miss is seen as a hard place to win
Which makes this a total fallacy because it's not actually that hard to win there anymore
Also look at their list of HCs this century:
Cutcliffe
Orgeron
Nutt
Freeze
Luke
Kiffin
Aside from coach O () none of them have won shite anywhere else. It's not "hard" to win at OM. It's just that they've never hired a remotely competent head coach before

I don't think any coach can fix Bauer Sharp being a total dumbass

There's also probably a low interest rate element to this as well. If you bought your house 5 years ago at a super low interest rate then there's a chance that you choose to rent it out rather than ever selling it. I know that was my plan for when I eventually move

an opportunity came across where you could 3x your pay, but it would only likely last for 4-5 years and then drop down significantly would you do it?
Could you just go make 3x for the next 5 years and then return to your old job? Then instead of retiring in 20-25 years you're retiring in 10-15?
I know the math isn't that simple due to taxes and more years without working but there's a time value of money offset to that as well
re: Hypothetical: IF Nuss doesn't make a NFL Team in Camp, would we make him an Analyst?

He doesn't seem very smart
re: A QB transfer would be nice but we dont really NEED one to start.

Good luck attracting a top tier HC while telling him you aren't gonna go buy him a new QB

That would be good for them. Kingsbury is a homo I think but Leonhard may be the next big thing defensively

The problem is the people who want kiffin aren't thinking at all. It's a name that they know and it's lazy and that's it
re: All it took was a 1 pt home win against a 2-7 team for people to jump on the Frank train?

Further proof that we should stay far away from anyone the rant wants. So no Frank and no Kiffin
re: New X post by Lane Kiffin. My interpretation is Lane stays at Oxford. What about you?

He's like one of those scorned women on facebook after a breakup. What a soft bitch
