I was working at McDonnell Aircraft in St. Louis when the first announcement was made - everything stopped and people started trying to find out more about it - phone lines were totally tied up - nobody could call in or out.

I had been working on a simulation of the Gemini Docking maneuver in a closed cockpit and didn't hear about it until I noticed the commotion outside and got out. People were stunned - nobody knew what the heck was going on.

Then I noticed a group of people who seemed to be joking with one another - I drifted over to hear what they were saying and found out they were actually happy over the news - will never forget one of them saying "I wish I could have been the one" - I had noticed this group during lunch time talking about politics and had thought of trying to join in if I ever had the time - they were members of the John Birch Society (had never heard of it - and this episode made me think I wanted no part of it.)

It was a sad time - I had not voted for him, but considered him a good POTUS - probably responsible for my being in the space business.

1954 - was listening to radio one night and they broke in with the news that Roger Bannister had broken the 4-minute mile barrier.

Went to school the next morning and nobody would believe me - considered it impossible.

I am greatly unschooled in legalese but the above sounds like a good thing to me.
I interpret it to mean = "let's settle on an equitable separation so we don't have to fire you 'for cause'."

Now, if he has reneged on the agreement to settle within reason, pull out the 'for cause' accusation and kick has arse back to ND.

assuming of course they have a 'for cause' cause.

it is complicated and it is something I don't understand. I disliked Biden and Obama but I would never think of booing members of our Military if it was the same situation because I am an American - I don't go around Boo'ing members of our Military because I disliked Biden and Obama. - But hey, that's just me.

How can anyone downvote this post.

To me - anyone who registers a downvote on a comment like this should be banned from participation in any forum that actually prides itself on encouraging fruitful debate on political topics. Anyone with the attitude of booing THIS has no business doing anything but hauling fake ballots for a disreputable political regime.
