My first gamr to see LSU was in 1949 (I think) when we played North Carolina. My brother was in school there an had the whole family down to see a ball game. NC had a player called Choo Choo Justice, so naturally he was the one who got my attention.
That was some weird experience for a 10--12 year old from the sticks in Vernon Parish who had never been anywhere before.
They were cleaning out Mike #1 cage and a stream of tiger shite ran across the sidewalk - my brother and his friend jumped it easy but I came up a tad short and my feet slipped out from under me and I fell on my back in the shite. Parents had to take me to town to get new clothes = not happy.
