Wilson Alexander of The Advocate has reported that LSU has hired Charlie Weis Jr. to be Lane Kiffin's new offensive coordinator. Weis signed a three-year deal worth $6 million.
The 32-year-old coach has been Kiffin's OC at Ole Miss since 2022. Before that, Weis Jr. was the OC & QB coach at South Florida from 2020-2021, and held the same role at Florida Atlantic under Kiffin from 2019-2019.
LSU also hired five other former Ole Miss assistants and staff members on Monday, according to Alexander:

LSU also agreed to terms with co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Joe Cox, wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator George McDonald, inside wide receivers coach Sawyer Jordan, head of strength and conditioning Nick Savage and senior executive director of player personnel Mike Williams.
While Kiffin has already solidified most of his offensive staff, he will still need an offensive line coach and a running backs coach. He may consider retaining running backs coach Frank Wilson, who will serve as the interim head coach through the bowl game.
LSU is also expected to hire general manager Billy Glasscock, senior associate athletic director for football operations Thaddeus Rivers and defensive analyst Chris Kiffin after they flew Sunday with Kiffin from Ole Miss to Baton Rouge.
