Multiple outlets have reported that Brian Kelly has received a formal termination letter from LSU dismissing him without cause.

In the letter, the school says it will pay the required $54 million buyout over six years as long as Kelly meets his obligation to find another job.

His pension strategy has come to fruition. What a waste of a hire for LSU's proud program.

I couldn’t agree with you more. After the national championship. LSU is a proud program. I wish that man would have never showed

Nice retirement check for Kelly. He won’t be looking for work.

If nothing else he might like to go to TV which would still help LSU.

This is precisely why BK went to LSU. To get a retirement check.

Can’t blame him. They are stupid enough to continue writing blank checks.

Should the board of supervisors maintain their position? They agreed to this deal, so should they not be held accountable?

Why look for work with that settlement? LMAO! He’s not going to look.

He got his money, but it cost him his reputation and pride, if he even has any. He will be remembered as a failed coach. If you can't win at LSU, you're a failure and CBK is a failure. A rich failure.

Jesus. I can’t believe I accidentally hit the upvote button. This might be one of the stupidest comments I’ve ever read. Was he, or was he not, the head coach of one of the greatest teams of all time? It may have gone downhill quickly, but he still gets credit for what he was able to accomplish. BK can’t even hold Os jockstrap.

Check out his record…he actually won quite a bit at LSU. He just didn’t get us to the playoffs and the fans got impatient. Our impatience cost us $54MM.

Honestly, this shite and the rumored 90 million to Kiffin, who I now hope turns down LSU, is just sickening. This game is just not worth this much greed. frick college football if it has come to this.

You know what was a good game today? The Harvard -Yale game. Two teams playing good football for the most part just for the love of the game. It was refreshing to watch. No superheroes. Just really good quality content.

Whoever wrote this contract is mentally retarded and likely fat

LSU fired the architect of the greatest team in school history—a local guy who loved LSU—to install a coach who never won anything, then they took a $54MM haircut to fire him so they could be early to court a journeyman coach at Ole Miss who never won anything with another fat guarantee.

Well the architect had pretty much lost himself and thought he was a player instead of the head coach. And they took a $17m haircut to get rid of him. These people couldn’t hit their own arse with radar.

And the architect wasn't really a architect but fell Into a barrel of gold by just being patient. Until we fired another stupid coach that was here for eleven years and had to back into one national championship, loser Les.

That’s wild that Ed Orgeron fell into Joe Burrow. And here I believed Burrows story about Orgeron recruiting him and convincing him to bail on Cincinnati and his old coach who was Luke Fickell when he couldn’t get on the field at tOSU.
