This is probably not the news that LSU fans want to see based on the current state of the football program but Ed Orgeron ranks as the second-highest-paid coach in the country, according to the latest USA Today's 2021 coaching salary database.
Orgeron's total pay of $9,012,917.00 is second behind Nick Saban's $9,753,221.00.
Out of the Top-10 highest-paid coaches on the list, five are from SEC schools: Saban, Orgeron, Dan Mullen, Jimbo Fisher, and Kirby Smart.
