We are about to bring online the first four 20k psi Wells. First time in history this is being done

Shenandoah isn’t the first 20k project in the Gulf. Anchor brought online two of its wells last year.

Good weather, so gumbo.
The team blows as a whole, but I would still like an explanation for why Bregman gets to suck absolute arse in the top of the lineup no matter what.

"He's a notoriously slow starter...gotta be patient for him to come around!"
If all he can do is beg for walks for the first two months of every season, then why doesn't he bat 9th to start the season? At least then his walks could potentially lead to runs.

He being crowned a perennial top-of-the-lineup hitter is laughable.

This player is batting .294, 3rd on the team with 11RBI's, only 5so in 55AB, yet bats 9th when he actually plays.

Only 7 out of Dubon's 53 PAs have ended without a ball in play. Can we please get him higher in the lineup for more meaningful ABs? Watching runners get left on base time and time again has been infuriating (frick you Bregman)

What's Tyler White up to these days? lol
This team really reminds me of the fried chicken Red Sox team. I know the pitching injuries are more than substantial, but still feels like they are living off past glory and couldn't care less.
Our entire bullpen needs to be taken out back and shot
It did not hit one of the signs. It bounced nearly straight up because of the angle of the rail and landed back safely in play
I’m sitting in the Crawford boxes right next to the railing. It clearly hit the yellow railing and bounced in play without touching anything else. Should have been a live ball in play.

Jeff Bagwell talked hitting and worked extensively with José Abreu on the field yesterday in an effort to get the slugger going at the plate.

"Jose, have you tried steroids?"- JB

Would love to see Yainer and Caratini with more time at 1B, but I know thats not happening. They can't be that much shittier defensively.

Singleton is only good for begging for walks. He hits monster shots in BP but his contact in game looks more like Myles Straw.

Maybe at some point, Jim Crane will realize he’s not a GM and that no one likes a George Steinbrenner impersonator. Only silver lining to these moves that keep blowing up in his face.

Jim Crane thinks he was the magic sauce behind this era, not Luhnow
Never pay for relievers. It’s not a foreign concept.
Singleton is guaranteed to have 3 ABs today with runners in scoring position. Will be fun to watch him beg for walks.
I just can’t believe our middle relief is exactly as shitty as everyone thought they would be. Who could have seen that coming?!
Will be checking in from right field this afternoon. Can't wait to see the new lineup in person. The weather looks prettyyyyy nice.

I'm very hopeful in a big bounce back year for Javier.

The WBC added so much early strain to his arm, that you've got to believe a full offseason of rest is going to bring him back to his 2022 form.

I would have the same feelings about Framber if he wasn't such a basket case too. But added rest cant hurt and maybe a new catcher behind the plate will help him stiffen up some since he won't have nanny Maldonado to make him feel better.

I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but I thought JP France and HB both pitched better with Yainer at catcher. I know for a period there the stats were disproportionately in favor of Yainer, but that may have changed over the course of the full season.

Overall, cautiously optimistic for the starting staff.

Worry about Crane the farther we drift away from the foundation Luhnow built.

I think Crane is spoiled by what Luhnow was able to bring in to our farm system over the years and has yet to realize that things have changed. There are no Tucker, Yordan, Framber, Javier or Pena any where on the radar.
He should have realized that replacement from within wasn't going to be tenable once we were forced to forfeit our 1st & 2nd round picks two years in a row.

Letting Bregman walk is absolutely the right move, but it doesn't do any good if you aren't willing to turn around and use that money to acquire a player that you feel can contribute more for the dollar.

Would be a tough pill to swallow if Bauer was on the team. Have despised that dude ever since the SI expose from years back where he couldn't stop blowing himself for being so much smarter than everyone else.

At the same time, I'd like to win again.

I think were going to take the McLane route of being the most basic level of competitive until Altuves next contract plays out, tank again and rebuild.

This is absolutely how it feels. Happy for Crane that his new "Astro-ville" will be finished right when the team is in the doldrums.

Having said that, still excited for the next couple of years. I'm hoping an offseason without WBC will produce the starting rotation we were expecting to have coming in to 2023.
