Talented five-star safety Jacoby Mathews announced Friday that he is decommitting from LSU and has reopened his recruitment.

The Ponchatoula, LA native originally gave his verbal pledge to Tigers back in November of 2020, picking LSU over schools like Alabama, Georiga, Mississippi State, Texas, Oklahoma, and Michigan State.

i sound like a broken record around here, NOTHING MATTERS UNTIL THE PEN HITS THE PAPER IN FEBRUARY, all this commitment shite and star ratings just provides the recruiting sites with income

@Loup.. better fit for your future? LSU is 45 minutes away from him and send as many to NFL as any other very top team. The fit is LSU.

Pre-NIL versus post. Needs to see where the money is. Welcome to the brave new world of "amateur" athletics.

I love CFB, but if it's degenerating into bidding wars, as opposed to actual recruiting, I'm out.

Lets let the SEC just hire a professional auctioneer and get this money BS out in the open......$$$$$$$$$$$$ Wait till the new law allowing players to get $$$$ sponsors then college football will become another NFL and will be boycotted when the players start NFL-like BS
