Quarterbacks named Matt, have they ever worked out for us?

My favorite quote from her :

Might be your best yet. Love the dustiness of it. Fantastic job with the weathering. Even the tank crew looks damn good. What paints do you use? Tamiya? Vallejo? I was always partial to Tamiya, but I like thinned Vallejo paints for panel lines and weathering effects.
re: So that’s 2 SPs that couldn’t get us 4 innings vs Mizzou…

I will agree that 87 pitches in just 3.2 innings is....not great. Especially against a very bad Mizzou team.

I don't care about the polls until April 28th.
re: According to Blake Ruffino, who was at yesterday’s practice Dj Pickett was impressive

A 6-4, 200 pound CB that everyone who saw the practice thinks is the real deal is amazing news for the team.

re: Cell phone plans

I stopped doing phone contracts more than 10 years ago. Right now I pay $45 per month for unlimited yada yada yada. It's Boost mobile. I'm not someone who cares what generation phone I have, or how amazing the features are. It has internet, and can make phone calls and text. The phone is a Samsung and cost me less than $200. I get a new one every 2 years or so.
re: Casan Evans definitely looks the part

Oh no doubt. His changeup has nice drop to it. His 2 seamer is a straight shot though. With a little wiggle it would be deadly.

He'll be regularly hitting 100 mph next season after a year of LSU strength and pitch training. He needs something with movement to add to that laser beam fastball he's got.

Yeah, he'll let out one or two every game that make me chuckle.

Nah. They already have THAT championship locked up.

I'll be the first one to admit it. I hate it when other teams' players act like jerks, but I usually love it when our guys flex a little loudly. Evans is gonna be an absolute weapon all year long.
re: Roll call: have left own country / never left own country.

I've seen the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, and South Korea. I found many things to appreciate about each country. But there's still no place I'd rather live than the US. I like that I have freedom of speech, and that the government isn't the only one who can own firearms.
re: Are aircraft carrier groups [ours] obsolete in the age of hypersonic missile systems?
Posted by Shiftyplus1 on 3/15/25 at 7:18 pm
Aircraft carriers don't go anywhere alone. They are surrounded by several support ships capable of some wicked shite on their own. But if we get involved in a war with a nation that has the ability to launch multiple hypersonic missiles, it'll be our submarines that may decide the fight. We have 66 nuclear subs. Russia has 31, and they are trash. China has 12.
re: So these Tate Brothers....
Posted by Shiftyplus1 on 3/15/25 at 6:18 pm
They are both enormous douchebags. I dunno if the stuff that is said about them is true in regards to the illegal activities with women, but I do know I couldn't stand being around them IRL for more than a minute. They just look and act like the greasiest meatballs on Earth.

Doesn't he already have a job? Didn't he JUST lose the election too?

Talkeetna, the tiny town that inspired Northern Exposure, is about 100 miles northeast of there. I've been there because I used to go out with a girl who had family in Wasilla, which is just North of Anchorage. I begged her to go, and she relented, but said the hour drive would be boring. It was by far the most beautiful drive I've ever taken. The land up there is gorgeous. At least in the summertime.
re: Question for the baws who have quit smoking and drinking
Posted by Shiftyplus1 on 3/15/25 at 9:09 am
The biggest difference I noticed after quitting smoking was that I could smell cigarette smoke. Before, it was like the scent of burning tobacco was invisible to my nose. Afterward, a smoker could enter the room 30 feet away and I could smell it on their clothes. I had no idea how much I reeked to other people.
