There was no need for Wade to make a statement.

The statement by Wade or any coach is not for you or for me, and it’s really not for the fans. It’s for his current players and for recruits. If he sat back and say nothing, his players wonder why and recruits might start thinking of playing for someone else.

You guys have to be some of the most out of touch clowns I've ever seen. Have you ever been recruited or had a son or daughter recruited. Coaches stand in your home and make impassioned speeches about how they will help mold, protect and guide lives of your student athletes, many of whom are African American, in the most high visibility sports. As a "leader" forging men and guiding them on the football field or otherwise, why would it not make sense to you that coaches would advocate on behalf of their players when they are adversely impacted. Their experiences and skin color follow them well after your chest thumping and high-fiving ends on Saturday.

I agree with Will Wade, the injustice in this country is almost unbearable. First we had government forcing business to shut down, now many of those same businesses are being looted, burnt, and vandalized. They have no voice. celebrities, athletes, major media personalities, they're all turning a blind eye to these injustices.

Not a fan of playing politics to gain favor with recruits. Cheesy and dishonest. What happened to Floyd was terrible. No one is justifying that act. But these very sort of instances are consistently cherry picked against the OVERWHELMING amount of violence that is perpetuated from within the black community. Even still, white people aren't out there burning homes and businesses of people who have NOTHING to do with any if this (other than liberal whites who are joining in to virtue signal and collect their paychecks). But no one is worried about that... just a handful of instances that they've labeled as "systemic racism".

Y’all realize his entire team black, right? It may mean nothing to you, but his players are likely hurting and it means everything to these young men when their coach has their back.

You realize my principals are more important to me than LSU or any player on any team right? I suppose not because you are living your life vicariously through others. Right and wrong is not for sale.

why would a basketball coach in Louisiana need to issue a public statement on something that happened in Minnesota? Good grief.

Come on people. Why are y'all getting so worked up? It is in coach's best interest to release a statement like this. He's not a crusader right now. He's a recruiter and a coach who wants black players to want to play for him.

Tell me coach how must I do more? What am I supposed to do? I try to treat all Gods children the same. I didn’t kneel on that man’s neck, and know that policeman should and is being punished.

I see there is a moron who down voted this post. For you, please explain exactly what is bothering you about this man's statement. The guys responsible are fired, arrested and will have their day in court. As he said, what is he supposed to do? I am serious. I would like to know why you down voted this post?

These statements from coaches need to stop. It is in their own (and obvious self best interest to put out these statements.

I want to know how any black person knows all about being black and how easy I have it being white. I am fed up with the victim mentality of some blacks. It is bullshite and you don't have a damn clue what it is like being white. Such as being expected to apologize for some dipshit who does something stupid simply because he is white. Then you turn around and say that blacks shouldn't be judged by the actions of a few such as all these looters, thieves, rioters, & thugs who are destroying private property and stealing in the name of George Floyd. Well if you support that then you are a liar and a hypocrite. Was it wrong for the dumbass cop to kill George Floyd? Yes. However, that has nothing to do with me or any other white person except the dumbass who did it. This also has nothing to do with LSU. NOTHING, but that doesn't stop some of you from trying to insult LSU fans. You sorry pieces of crap are the true racists.

Joe knows his teammates and is privy to experiences they have had.....they share alot with him. But, to the average TD poster, what the hell do they know. Racism is non-sense and these people should shut up. They will cannibalize the greatest player in LSU history if it comes to that.....its who they are.

If Joe is actually does that, he will be the greatest player in LSU history. He would just also happen to be a political midget that put PC culture over facts. I believe in Joe, he won't stand with anarchist that hate America.

We already know he's an SJW. Do you think we live under a rock? I'll always be grateful to Joe Burrow for what he did for LSU, but that doesn't mean I have to like his political views. Simple as that.
