They said if UF doesn't announce him tomorrow LSU

Still in playoff hunt like Lane

Unlikely these guys are getting announced any time soon

Drinkwitz. We could do worse.

No.

You don’t fire BK and be on the hook for $50M on top of assistants turnover, to then pay MORE per year for a guy who’s literally never accomplished anything of consequence.

No way.

They’ll go cheaper with a Dillingham/Sumrall type before they go that route imo.

Looks like Franks still tailgating
Let’s run our best player off the field on 4th down  Delane
You can use a little bit of sense to figure most of this out

ND is heading to playoff again a year after he went to the championship game

He’s making $9M/yr and has a young QB in place who they can build around for two more years ahead. He's also a Midwest guy.

Arrogant to think he’s leaving imo

This isn’t a bad thing

Will motivate boosters to extend even more for the right coach
I’d find it pretty hard to believe that we’re interested in paying a guy 8 figures annually that’s never made a playoff or won any big games of note.

For anyone out there who’s suggesting Drink, you’re basically in belief that the above is possible because he’s already making $9M so it would obviously go up here. .

Can’t see it.

You don’t fire BK with a $50M liability along with assistant buyouts, then turn around and pay a guy like Drinkowitz more than BK.

If you’re willing to do that then you’re getting someone more proven. Like.a Heupel-level coach or better imo. .
First of all, he makes $9M which means you’d be paying him more than Kelly after having bought out the latter for $50M

Would be terrible optics for Verge et al imo. There’s absolutely nothing on Drink’s resume’ that’s even close to the guy you had. That alone is a reason to not go this direction.

They’ll either pay Drink-level money for a real perceived upgrade, like Kiffin, Heupel, etc

Or they’ll go for value with unproven candidates like Sumrall, Brady, etc imo

Smoke screen, he won't be the guy. Think about it.

Dude's already making a ton of money and that would mean LSU is indeed going to pay 8 figures a year for a coach, which would mean far better candidates would be in play that are more proven and better fits

Can't see it. All I see is smoke...
