Which means they got outplayed.

Yes they outplayed themselves. Concur
quote:

4 qualified starters.

Ohh qualified, huh

quote:

Of the two teams, here are where they stack up

Yeah Stanfield is clearly better than Kilen and Fischer

Probably in the running for 1-1 in the MLB Draft. GOAT 9-hole hitter

quote:

I don't know what this means. You said you couldn't watch every pitch

Somehow this turned into “you only saw half the series” and then “you didn’t see game 3”
Look man I understand the purple glasses around here but Tennessee blew game one. Plain and simple.
quote:

LSU put up good numbers against bad teams" narrative,

But this is true

How many every day starters are hitting .300 or better in SEC play?

I mean how could Jay play Reaves and Jones at 3B?

They both field like middle schoolers. There just no way Jay could ever trot those guys out there at 3B, could he?

quote:

He has shown up in big time moments throughout the year.

Meh. His SEC numbers are disappointing, especially for the “star” that you and others made him out to be.

Does he rake in the midweek? You bet your arse he’s a Grizzly on Tuesdays

quote:

They have manufactured runs all year outside of the Auburn series.

Meh

quote:

If you didn't watch the games,

More exaggeration

I said I didn’t see every pitch

JAKE BROWN SUCKS IN THE 3-HOLE

quote:

LSU's coach would have subbed out the team leader in errors in the bottom of the 9th up 3.

You mean like put Jared Jones in at 3B?

quote:

LSU's coach doesn't pitch to Jared Jones there.

The King of Whiff? No real team is scared of Jones. He made a lucky swing. Happens. That’s Jay Ball. Win or die by homers. He dies plenty in big games.

quote:

Lmao so you're evaluating two teams based off of half of a series

Who said I watched half the series?

JAKE BROWN SUCKS IN THE 3-HOLE

quote:

They only faced LSU’s frontline pitching in 6 innings of Game 2 and 8 innings in Game 1 and were shutout 11 of those 14 innings scoring a total of 4 runs.

This narrative would be nice if it weren’t for their reliever losing in the 9th on Friday after their future 1st Round pick absolutely handcuffed LSU for 7 innings
Neither has Texas but you’re ready to crown them

Backick has his dream job

Clemson is a dream job? Isn’t he from out west?

You say easier path but we’re in the NIL era now. State should have far better resources in baseball than Clemson.

quote:

They just haven’t played as good as LSU which is 100% correct and indisputable.

Nah

LSU had a cupcake pre conference schedule. As soft as any which padded the win column and many players’ stats

Every team in the SEC has a pulse on any given weekend except Mizzou, as their winless conference record is evidence of

We played Mizzou at home. Tennessee doesn’t play them.
They won’t make the second week in Omaha watch
quote:

Best versus the best? Baseball is played in series for a reason lol. How good your third pitcher is and the rest of the bullpen matters drastically on the strength of the team.

Perhaps but they don’t lose game one in that scenario a good 90% of the time either, so..
quote:

Didn’t realize they ran out their JV team Sunday. If they only have 2 pitchers worth a shite, they aren’t that good huh?

Or maybe they have injuries they’re working through and a couple of the arms they typically rely on had subpar outings :dunno:

Where have we seen this before
quote:

lol no they don’t. LSU has a better record, beat them head to head and is ranked higher in every poll. If any of the above were not facts, maybe you’d have an argument. But they are and you don’t.

Ok so Texas is better than LSU and will make a deeper run, right?

Wanna place a wager?

Backich, McDonnell, Goodwin?
quote:

Let me correct myself. You bitched about who Jay would put hitting 3rd. Turns out he once again made the correct decision.

Erroneous again.

I think it’s laughable that Jay continues to trot out Frey and Pearson in the heart of the order in SEC play. I mean there’s really no way to justify it other than wishful thinking.

quote:

Are you going to acknowledge that Tony made multiple mistakes this weekend?

I didn’t see that but admittedly I didn’t get to watch every pitch Sunday.

No coach can account for dominating a Friday game for 8 innings behind a stellar performance on the road by your ace, to them have a guy boot a couple balls that would end up giving the game away at 1:20am in the bottom of the 9th.

Is that mismanagement? I thought they looked like the better team for the first 17 out of 18 innings of that series when it was best on best. You’re free to disagree.
But you said he went crazy

Same guy who called him a “star” and now he’s fallen further down MLB draft boards

Ever think just maybe you give him too much credit? Maybe because your fandom can blind you from realities :dunno:

quote:

Kade Anderson gave up a routine fly ball that resulted in a 3 run triple, and a 5 run inning, because Auburn is 380 to dead center.

This caused 3 losses? Wow

quote:

LSU hit the ball hard all weekend right at people. shite happens.

Uh, no. They got mowed down by Sammy Dutton and company

quote:

Nothing supports your position that Tennessee is the better team,

Except plenty of people out there believe it

Is Texas better than LSU? Certainly they are, right? I mean they beat LSU and have a better record so impossible for anyone to suggest otherwise, yeah? Moreover, it had to mean that Schloss is > than Jay and Tony, probably put together amirite?
