According to Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is displeased with the SEC's new proposed schedule...
quote:

“They said they did a 10-year whatever,” Saban said. “Well, some of those years, Tennessee wasn’t as good as they’ve been in the previous 10 years, but now they are as good as they used to be before those 10 years.

“We got three teams and two of them are in the top 10 and the other is in the top 10 a lot. Look historically over a 25-year history, and the three best teams in the East are Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. You look historically at 25 years, Alabama, LSU and Auburn are the three best teams in the West. So we’re playing them all.”

"They're giving us the same three teams Bama's been playing since I was at LSU."

He wasn’t complaining about Tennessee when they sucked for 20 years and we had to play alabama, aubrun and Florida. While Florida is a bit of a roller coaster team they’ve had many more years of high level accomplishments than Tennessee. And we loved that rivalry. Suck it nick. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a god Tennessee and auburn along with lsu ends nicks run.

No sympathy from Auburn fans who've been playing Alabama, Georgia, and LSU every year for forever.

He’s actually right.
The right way to do this is play your 7 division opponents. Then the same weekend as SEC champ game play your cross division rival. That’s 8 total games.

Picking permanent opponents is 100% subjective. Giving one team a disadvantage because they have a harder schedule is ridiculous. I’m not even sure why this is a hard concept?

He has a good point. We can play them in the Ship- no need to canibalize each other

Or cannibalize for that matter

That’s when you know it’s time for Saban to retire, when he’s reduced to whining about scheduling.

It makes sense that LSU fans would love this potential schedule: they would get Ole Miss and the historically mediocre team from College Station.

Go ask the Alabama basketball team to help murder the schedule maker. Then we can all joke about it in games.

Sooooo he's had these 3 on his schedule his whole time at bama, but now because UT "MAY" be climbing out of their slump and it's an issue?? Frick this chump.

Now if UT coaches complained about playing UGA/UF/Bama every year during the same period he's been at Bama then maybe he could have an argument.
