Nick Saban Is Against A College Football System Where 'You Can Basically Buy Players'
by Larry LeoApril 15, 2022

Alabama head coach Nick Saban doesn't like how the new NIL deals are basically corrupting college football. Ummm...becauuuuse....college football wasn't already corrupt? Sorry coach, I'm confused here.Per Associated Press...
quote:
“The concept of name, image and likeness was for players to be able to use their name, image and likeness to create opportunities for themselves. That’s what it was,” Saban said. “So last year on our team, our guys probably made as much or more than anybody in the country.”
“But that creates a situation where you can basically buy players,” Saban said. “You can do it in recruiting. I mean, if that’s what we want college football to be, I don’t know. And you can also get players to get in the transfer portal to see if they can get more someplace else than they can get at your place.”

He's absolutely correct about this, just like he's been correct about everything else.

BIGJLAW = BIGJMAD
Triggered! LOL, life must really suck for you.
If you idiots were not so full of stupidity then you could actually enjoy life. Every major team in CFB before the NIL was paying players, including your team.
So sad!

He is right. It’s a terrible trend in the collegiate system. The fact of the matter is, he and the other large programs have always bought players. Now, he’s pissed you can do it legally. I think he actually has more of a disadvantage with the legalization of the player pay, because the old system he used was so proven. Now, anyone can get some skin in the game with the proper donors.

Once again, Saban is firing off the warning shot. How many times now has he said “is this where you want things to go?” Before bludgeoning everyone to death with that very thing.

He's spot on. Anybody that thought NIL wouldn't be used in the ways it is is ignorant and stupid. Many, including him, warned folks what this would be. ALso, he is saying, if this how yall want it, this is how we'll do it and you wont like what I do with it.

Dude, Nick is mad because now most teams will catch up with him now. He will lose the most with NIL, just watch and see.

He’s just against EVERYBODY ELSE also having their own REC (Red Elephant Club), and therefore making a level playing field.

Would it actually be a level field? If Bama and the REC have been in this shady business for that long, they’ll just boat race everyone now that it’s legit. Meanwhile the things that make CFB great will continue to die

It's adorable that you think LSU boosters are not exactly as shady as Alabama boosters. Bless your heart.

He’s right, you know. He’s also letting us all know that it’s open season for buying players, so don’t mess with the OG.
