he certainly seems to be getting to some of you.
Like I said, it’s the poor decision making coupled with the silly trolling. If he were still knocking it out of the park, no one would care, but he’s not.
One recent example was “Tesla Vision”, where he wanted autopilot/FSD to rely solely on cameras (instead of radar + cameras). All of his engineers said it was a terrible idea. Hell, all you have to do is drive a Tesla to see it wouldn’t work. The cameras are frequently rendered inoperable by direct sunlight and they’re terrible at judging distances within a few feet which is pretty important for, you know, braking.
He did it anyway. Most teslas made last year don’t have a radar and, to the surprise of no one but Elon, they perform worse in autopilot/FSD than older cars with radars. He has now reversed that decision.
With respect to Twitter, it’s his money obviously but there’s no way in hell a platform that is 90% bots and trolls is ever going to be worth $44 billion to anyone else. Where is the cash flow going to come from? $10/month blue check marks?
I appreciate what the dude has done, but if he wants to focus on his overpriced social media playground I wish he would hire his replacement at Tesla first.

It’s the kind of humor one would expect from a guy with Asperger’s, why pretend to like it?
It’s pretty silly.
His problem is that he could get away with it when he was doing truly awesome things. Mass producing the Model 3 and Y was awesome. The early success with SpaceX was awesome. The Boring company looked really promising.
As of today, it has been a while since he’s done something truly awesome (I guess Twitter is TBD but doubtful considering the price). Tesla owners still don’t have FSD…and some people bought it like 7 years ago. Still no cyber truck. He said SpaceX was supposed to be sending a manned mission to Mars in 2024 a couple years ago. Crickets.
Maybe if he spent more time doing the things that made him who he is and less time acting like he’s 14, people wouldn’t be so annoyed with him.

Maybe Twitter’s other stakeholders?
I think a group of banks/PE shops put up a few billion. But I guess it’s possible they’ve been paid back/bought out.

Only good thing is it's for one year, but this is still a very MORONIC deal.
From the Raven’s perspective, eh. It’s less than they’d pay a WR on a franchise tag. And if they do somehow have Lamar on the roster next season, at least they can say they tried to get him help.
Don’t understand it at all from OBJ’s perspective though. Dude must enjoy being a malcontent because that’s all that will happen.

He does this after pouting his way out of Cleveland because Baker couldn’t get him the ball less than two years ago. How is this better?

It kills me that some parents bypass all of that and make their kids feel like shite if they aren’t shining on some stupid 11u sports team.

What’s wrong with watching your kid run around sucking at baseball? I have no kids but that seems fun.
Well hopefully that last part changes because we need more parents who think like this.
And you’re 100% right, it is fun. My kids played/are playing various sports and none of them are/were remotely close to the best players on their teams. But I made sure they knew I couldn’t care less about that, I just wanted them to have fun and make friends.
Some parents just miss the forest for the trees.

But even if he wasn’t, the fact that he’s dickishly waving his doctorate around while being very wrong makes him not only a fool, but the worst kind of fool.
Also, he’s a man named Gabby.

Pitt needs to demand his resignation immediately.
Either he’s lying in the most absurd way imaginable or he’s completely incompetent. I’m not sure which is more unforgivable.

Good on this guy.
The only way this nonsense will stop is if women make it stop.
They need to start screaming at the top of their lungs that mentally ill men need to stay the hell out of their competitions.

I would say it’s at least as a-hole-ish to think your life is so important that you get to interrupt a game that hundreds of thousands of people are watching so you can propose to your girlfriend.
They cancel out IMO.

Option 1)
I might be over-thinking it (especially for a Friday afternoon), but my concern (and the reason I’m torn on it) is that it makes the calculation of whether it’s worth it from the student’s perspective difficult at best and probably impossible.
If staying in LA slows/delays your career progression compared to moving to an area that’s better for your major, that could mean foregoing hundreds of thousands of dollars in compensation over the course of your career…even if the difference in entry level comp is only a few thousand.
Additionally, even if you keep a graduate instate for five years, is that even enough to make it worthwhile from the state’s perspective if most of those grads end up leaving after that anyway? I’d think it’s still probably a net loss for the state.
It’s a tough problem. Just don’t know how LA can fix it without potentially introducing more problems.

If you accept a TOPs scholarship, you should be required to work in Louisiana for a set amount of time or a % of your check returned to the state if you leave Louisiana. Consider it a 0% interest loan
I’m torn on this.
Yes, the ROI is terrible, but the problem is jobs. I grew up in BR and got a finance degree from LSU. We wanted to stay close to family but there was precious little there in terms of entry level jobs, much less anything to build a career on.
Contrast this to my daughter. She’s a freshman at Kennesaw and getting HOPE. When she’s done in three years, odds are she’s staying in the ATL metro area because she can actually work here.

Broadcast to your girlfriend and the world that you have terrible judgement and a lack of self-control.

Tyson won.Buster was on the canvas for about 12 seconds but it was a super slow count.
I was in elementary school and didn’t watch the fight, but I distinctly remember some kids on the bus the next day talking about this.

Come on now.
He’s clearly not going to come close to even sniffing day one, but he’s 100% getting drafted.
His tape (limited and dated as it is) gets him taken on a 6/7 round flyer at a minimum.
Now, whether or not he actually makes something of it in the league is another story. If he doesn’t get whatever the heck is going on with his game squared away, he’s out of the league in 2-3 years.

re: Aaron Rodgers trade is taking shape. Jets will give up two high draft picks
Posted by StupidBinder on 3/28/23 at 6:36 pm
Make sense that the Packers shouldn’t budge…but I’m a little confused by how badly the Jets seem to want this to happen.
Obviously Rodgers is great. He’s also old, a PITA, has other interests outside of football and thus almost approaches Jay Curler levels of DGAF.
I feel like either he gets tired of the Jets or the Jets get tired of him and he retires after one year. Maybe it’s worth it, but what if he falls off a cliff production-wise?
