know this kid and his family very well. they actually live in the same neighborhood as us. our kids played at mandeville together. great kid and really great parents......and my wife was pissed when i was cheering for this miss!!!!! and then celebrated......don't wish the kid any ill will, but hey, you grew up in Louisiana knowing Alabama is the enemy of the this state. don't expect people to root for you or feel sorry for you when something like this happens...and trust me, he's going to be fine in life after football.

It should have been leaning away from him. See, all kickers have a tendency to hit a draw when we kick, and leaning the ball away from us mitigates that draw for the most part. However, leaning it towards us enhances a draw, turning it into a hook; which is what you saw last night, and why he hit the upright. If the ball is leaned away from him, bam, tie game.
