I'm not sure why he felt the need to do this. Everyone knew he was going to miss the kick.

No need for an apology, he did his best and obviously nobody who is sane thinks he intentionally missed it. That said, it’s obvious that he has no business being a college kicker. He should turn in his jersey and give up his scholarship to somebody who is.

Should be a Timex instead of a Bulova. Timex keeps on "kicking".

A kicker issued an apology seeking validation? Don't care.

Head up, Joseph! It just wasn't Bama's year and that came down more to the defensive side of the ball! Hate that he feels the need to apologize as he doesn't owe anything to anyone.

He and the Ole Miss kicker can practice together during the off season

He's a kicker under Saban, a coach that heaps the pressure on you.

It's his fault that Saban can't count to 11? Dude shanked a FG attempt to win the NC in the 2018 CFP game, and only got bailed out by 2nd & 26.

He's just part of Bama's history now. No need to apologize. The saga of missed PATs and FGs goes on and on. But I'm sure the Bama faithful will eat their own.

No need for an apology. Football is a team sport. If the team plays better, then 1 kick doesn't have to be on the line. Suck it up, move on to the bowl game.

know this kid and his family very well. they actually live in the same neighborhood as us. our kids played at mandeville together. great kid and really great parents......and my wife was pissed when i was cheering for this miss!!!!! and then celebrated......don't wish the kid any ill will, but hey, you grew up in Louisiana knowing Alabama is the enemy of the this state. don't expect people to root for you or feel sorry for you when something like this happens...and trust me, he's going to be fine in life after football.

Yeah you suck as a kicker but you don't owe the fans an apology. Just suffer in silence, move on and use it to get better, that's what you do.

He must have received death threats from some of the sidewalk gump fans that live in trailer park communities or are friends with the psycho chick that was cussing worse than a sailor in another link.

Don't worry about it Joseph - the only people criticizing you are chumps whose biggest successes in life are finally getting on steady at the plant after working there part time for 10 years and beating their 7 year old nephew at ping pong.
