I'll help you morons out. There are NO, and I mean zero fore extinguishers outside on a track field. She planned this and had to bring it herself out to the field.
Spontaneous is one thing, premeditated stupidity is different.
And I say again, discharging any sort of emergency device in a crowd can be considered a crime, like pulling an alarm.
Race is a factor, her dad created this idiot thought process

Whats wrong with that idiot dad? I would absolutely go thank the judge for doing what he did. Not only is the celebration overboard, setting off a fire extinguisher at a public event, is damn near illegal.

Stupid to take away her title, but more stupid for the father to claim racism.

If only these news reporters were as outraged by the guy that won 2 girls events in this same meet.

I have zero problems problems with it. I hope we get back to class and decorum. Not everything needs to be a tiktok main character moment. You just won a state title...go celebrate with your coach, family and teammates

Didn’t they both know the rules about inappropriate celebrating and the consequences for breaking those rules? Yet they went ahead and did it anyway. And now they’re complaining about the consequences. Hmmm…

In the 70's, a kid in Dallas won the state 100 yd dash and a released a little parachute out of the back of his shorts as he crossed the finish line. A version of the story was included in Dan Jenkins book Semi Tough. The whole thing is silly. Punish the kid with some sort of community service but don't take away the win.

I can see both sides. I can see why she was upset because it wasn't that big of a deal. On the other hand, celebrations have gotten so out of hand that, at some point, you have to make a stand. I have more of a problem of dad jumping down from the stands because that can lead to others following him and then you have a riot on your hands.

Good. Let her do this this year, a d next year someone will step it up. They got more of their wanted followers uptick. So stop whining. Probably on the line of illegal to spray an extinguisher anyway. Frick their tears.

Had she knifed one of her competitors and yelled "free Palestine," they wouldn't take her title.

That celebration was such a nothing. Not disrespectful to opponents. It’s just a kid having fun, after working hard all season and winning a state title. Shame on California and shame on you idiots on here who think teenagers can’t have fun.

I lean towards being respectful but this is ridiculous to take away the title for that.

You can disagree with the celebration and say its too far, but that does not justify stripping the title. Thats retarded. You gotta be one gay arse retard to think thats justified. California is so backwards with shite. You can murder and steal and thats a okay but you gonna celebrate and hurt someones feewings well thats crossing the line.
