Nick Saban ripped the NCAA for allowing G League players to compete at the collegiate level after Louisville’s latest recruit. He thinks it could lead to failed NFL players suiting up for college programs...
quote:

“We’re letting G League players come play in college? Pretty soon, we’re going to have the New York Giants’ backup quarterback not getting enough development, so we’re going to send him to Penn State or somewhere else for a year to play,” Saban told Chris Low of On3.

“It’s crazy, absolutely crazy. Why not make these kids professionals, treat them like professionals and collective bargain the whole thing”

Need to make Saban college commissioner already. He gets the insanity of all this.

NCAA said screw it, do whatever you want. We are tired of getting sued.

NCAA got sued all the time but used to win. They just got tire of losing.

Oh shite, he said "Collective Bargaining." That's never supposed to be said outloud.

Collective bargaining actually cures a lot of the current problems and the Wild West aspects because it places guardrails and limits on the athletes when they enter into it.

One would think that before all of this the NCAA could have had a contract in place for 18 yos to sign stating the guardrails that were in place for decades, and not letting them be open into being sued.

This is exactly what is going to happen. And it shouldnt be a surprise that this is where it was heading.

They're destroying their product for a money. College football is turning into minor leagues and if I want to watch professionals I'll watch the NFL.

The indoor Arena leagues are more fun to attend, to me at least.

LSU should be looking at backup NFL O linemen. Seriously why not

A good O line and a mid QB can take you pretty far in college football.
