Kirby Smart Asked If He'll Speak To His Team About Avoiding Contact With Sarah Fuller
© Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports
Heading into Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, Georgia coach Kirby Smart was asked if he plans to speak to his team about avoiding contact with Commodores kicker Sarah Fuller, per 247Sports...
quote:

“Probably not. I’ve never had to have that conversation before. I’m not going to change and have that conversation now,” Smart said. “We don’t account for the kicker in our returns. I don’t think anybody in the country accounts for the kicker. You assume that if you get to the kicker, you did a pretty good job in the return game. We don’t plan on having a conversation about it. She plays a very physical sport to be honest with you. I’ve seen some pretty brutal collisions without a helmet and without gear on. I’m sure she can take care of herself when it comes to that. That’s not something we’ve really concerned with because we don’t assign anybody to the kicker.”

Liberals are trying to ruin football, just like they ruin everything else.

Why do assume liberals are ruining football. Could be a right wing conservative you know all about preservation of life and stuff

so there are different rules now about how to treat an opposing player? No, if she's on the field, she's subject to whatever occurs, within the rules. If she doesn't want that, don't step on the field.

The more the media talks about this, the more they expose narrative around this kid as a fraud. Is she a football player or not? You can’t have it both ways. Good answer by Kirby.

I would talk shite about her but she might find me and beat me up.

Get the onside unit ready.

She doesn't kick the ball far enough for someone to get a head-start running towards her.

WTF why would he talk about violent hits with out helmets. Does the broad not wear a helmet ?....

She's a soccer player. He's talking about soccer. You should probably start wearing a helmet.

Sounds like someone who's taken too many hits to head already. Helmet is too late.

I'm sure much like she did against Missouri, she has been instructed to run to the sideline post kick. No one will have to block her.

I doubt she even gets an opportunity....Vandy will not score

Georgia will have to receive an opening kickoff in one of the halves though

UGA could prevent that at the coin toss if they wanted if I am correct.

Bama...you honestly think that UGA would opt to kickoff both halves? That is absolutely retarded and would only further solidify what a joke this whole charade is. That would be forfeiting a MAJOR strategic advantage just so a girl doesn't get hurt. Granted, it's Vandy, so UGA could kickoff both halves and it wouldn't make a difference on the outcome of the game, but you get my point.

Given that she can only kick it 30 yards, good chance she has to take on a blocker.

The only conversation that needs to be had about that kicker would be to tell the returner, "if you get tackled by the girl, every fan, every teammate, and every friend you ever had will make fun of you, forever."

Kirby is wrong and he should account for her. More than likely he will get to her very often because she can only kick about 10 yards.

If the chance arrives, bust her attention seeking arse and give her the attention that she craves. She has no business out there

BTW, nobody needs to block her anyway. She has no chance of going toe-to-toe with one of UGA's kick returners, whether we're talking speed or strength. If she tries to make a tackle, she's going to look like an idiot.
