Alabama Football Player Arrested For Marijuana Possession Charges

Multiple sources are reporting that Alabama junior offensive lineman Lester Cotton was arrested on marijuana possession charges Friday night in Tuscaloosa.
Cotton was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Per AL.com:

Lester Cotton, a starter for part of last season, was pulled over at 11 p.m. Friday and arrested on marijuana possession charges, Tuscaloosa police confirmed Monday morning. Officers smelled marijuana during the traffic stop at the corner of Hackberry Lane and Paul Bryant Drive. Officers located an unspecified amount on a search of his vehicle.

It's the strain of the weed DRO . Should be banned and the pushers should get an automatic five years .

I personally don't smoke weed, but I just don't care if others do. Yes, I realize it's illegal in Alabama so technically it's a crime, but more states will legalize it over the coming years. Maybe conservative southern states won't, but I just don't get worked up over this kind of thing.

Saban isn't a stickler on failed drug tests. I know he let one guy skate at LSU who failed 11 tests.
