Do we lose any current 2023/2024 recruits when this happens?

hope the Texans don't call him. They have a mountain of cap space and a warchest of draft picks (including #2 this year) thanks to the Deshaun Watson trade. They suck now but could get good very quickly if they get the picks right
And a much more desirable location.Baltimore is a horrible place

Per DawgNation, UGA is offering Monken a raise up to $3M to stay. That's more than most NFL OC's make.

Is there a typical coaching carousel cycle in the NFL where they are either going to hire someone or not? I feel like this is stretching out kinda long. But I don't follow NFL.

Thanks for reading DawgNation so we don’t have to. #frickTheAJC

They've been dead to me for a long time, for completely other reasons, but now they are extra dead, double secret probation dead to me.

Wasn’t Richt making about $3 million then paying Bobo some extra out of his own check?

We are waiting on pins and needles to see the outcome - any idea on time frames?

reported on Friday that sources close to the program had shared that they expected Todd Monken to take the Baltimore Ravens job if offered.
As of today, the sentiment from sources is that they expect Monken will be in Athens next season. I am digging around to see if that is more related to the way Baltimore’s search is going or something internally at UGA. I was told all along that Georgia would do EVERYTHING that they could to keep Monken in Athens. I don’t know if this new intel means a raise has been agreed upon or just that Todd doesn’t expect to be Harbaugh’s hire in Baltimore. Either way, it is huge news for Georgia if it comes true. At this hour I am not getting quite enough feedback to 100% say I think he is returning, but something has definitely changed since Friday.
With a salary of over $2 million a year, Monken was already believed to be the highest paid assistant in college football. Is he now the first $3 million dollar coordinator in the history of the sport? With the FOIA laws in Georgia it will take months for us to find out…
I have been told to NOT expect any type of formal announcement around Monken staying in Athens. It is worth continuing to follow the Baltimore job, but right now things seem to be trending towards Monken sticking around in 2023 and leading UGA’s offense as they make a run at a historic three-peat.

It usually can stretch to the end of the Super Bowl, since a lot of the searches are gunning after the staff from the 2 franchises in the SB, and the league limits announcements/interviews/"tampering" between teams that are out of the playoffs and teams still going for the trophy.
My read on the length of time is that Monken would have been hired already, since he doesn't have to abide by the same standards as a coach being sought after from an "active" playoff team.
He's being interviewed and carried along as a back up option, but the Ravens/Bucs are probably more interested in a hire from the Eagles or Chiefs.

Ravens also requested to interview Bienemy. Can’t until after SB.

I think it was an OL coach he was helping.

According to both Football Scoop and Yahoo, former Ravens OC Bobby Engram (who left Baltimore to go be the Wisconsin Badgers' OC for 1 season) has also interviewed twice.
Among others.

Bobby Engram left the Ravens coaching staff to become Wisconsin’s offensive coordinator last year, but he could return to Baltimore this offseason.
Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic.com reports that Engram has interviewed with Ravens head coach John Harbaugh twice for the team’s offensive coordinator opening. The Ravens parted ways with Greg Roman after their playoff loss to the Bengals.
Engram was the Ravens’ tight ends coach from 2019 to 2021 and their wide receivers coach for the five previous seasons. His move to coaching came after he spent 14 seasons as an NFL wideout.
The Ravens have also had second interviews with University of Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken and Vikings tight ends coach/pass game coordinator Brian Angelichio. Seahawks quarterbacks coach Dave Canales and Broncos offensive coordinator Justin Outten are also set for second interviews with the team.

I don’t see them paying the money it will take to get Monken to leave…but I guess this isn’t going to sort itself out until after the Super Bowl.

The average OC salary in the NFL is $1 million. Monken will be taking a significant pay cut to move to the pro ranks.
