I agree. I don’t really think there’s enough folks with the gumption to get out and do much in Athens. And most of our liberal white sympathizers are college students at UGA and, in addition to most of them being gone, I can’t see any UGA student destroying downtown.

Change UGA to SCAD and you've encapsulated Savannah very well. The projects downtown (Yamacraw and Hitch Villages) have been torn down and a lot of the riff raff has been moved out.

There will be protests in Athens but not rioting. At least not from people who live in Athens; any violent shite is going to come from outside groups

One of the guys in those comments mentioned that his apartment told him they had received a threat to burn the building. Dusk is closing in, so we’re about to find out.

All Athens Wal Marts and Academy Sports have closed early as a precaution. Again, nobody from Athens is going to harm that town; way too much at stake for everyone’s economic well being and relatively too small. Plus, there are virtually no students there right now. Question is do the agitators from Atlanta leave to go to an easier target

Haven’t heard of anything too off kilter. Some pics from downtown seem to suggest a small group of armed white men started showing up at the end of the protests and supposedly that’s the reason for the curfew

Those six guys playing army-man (legally) aren't the ones defacing the arch or baldwin's statue on broad, and aren't the ones looting the walmart.
Maybe if there were 600 of those losers playing army-man, everything would be find in athens.
