It’s true. Coley is a big step down from Chaney and Chaney sucked

That's all been on Smart's dumb decisions...

1. Fromm over Fields due to risk aversion
2. Coley over paying big bucks for a top tier OC
3. Skipping a year of recruiting big-time WRs, thus leaving us exposed when Ridley, Hardman, and Nauta all bolted early
4. Stubbornly committing to a "we'll wear them out by the 4th quarter" old man offense that doesn't work against elite competition

He's only 43 so I hope he's actually learning from mistakes.

You should be sick of losing to Alabama and LSU when it really counts...

I’d much rather get there, then lose to a bunch of crappy teams and be left out of the game.

You just have to get there enough to give yourself enough opportunities.

I'm not sure what Coley knows how to do other than recruit.

Coley is a good WR coach and a good coach to have on staff. He’s the #2 guy on an offensive staff.

I would not count on that happening again. We stick out like a sore thumb amongst teams with elite talent as far as how mediocre our offense is.

We beat like 4 top 15 teams this year with an offense that wasn’t hitting on all cylinders.

It’s not a done deal until it’s announced, but I have been hearing for more than 24 hours that Jamie Newman and Georgia are a likely match and have heard nothing yet to change that.

Not sure if this has been posted, but here's a PFF article listing Newman as the #3 QB in the country for 2020:

Reliable source tells me Jamie Newman to #UGA is a “done deal.” Sure hope he’s right. @680TheFan

After doing some research on him (and watching some WF game highlights from 2018-2019), I'm sold.

He has 3 fourth quarter comeback wins in less than two seasons as a starter (#14 NC State, Memphis in the bowl, Utah State). In those games, he averaged 399 yards of offense and scored 11 TDs.

He was asked to do more for his offense than simply manage the game, and it's clear that he possesses talent both as a passer and a runner. He would be a huge addition to the 2020 team.

The top 10 college football quarterbacks returning in 2020

3. JAMIE NEWMAN, UNKNOWN (TRANSFER)

Jamie Newman recently caused chaos in college football when he unexpectedly announced his decision to transfer from Wake Forest. The decision still looms over what team Newman will be a part of in 2020, but with programs such as Oregon and Oklahoma in need of a replacement, they have to be salivating over the possibility of him joining. Through the first 11 weeks, college football’s highest-graded quarterbacks were Joe Burrow, Justin Fields and Jamie Newman. He ended the year slower than the start, but Newman still is one of college football’s biggest breakout players of the season.

The tight-window passing he has put on display has been next level and a large reason why he is highly sought after on the transfer market. Joe Burrow is far and away the highest-graded quarterback throwing to a tight window, but Newman is second — and third isn’t anywhere near him. He also limited his uncatchable pass rate to the fourth lowest.

Newman has some rushing ability and has seen the eighth-most designed rushes for a quarterback (128). While some may say it’s his rushing that can be his greatest weapon, it’s clearly his arm. He’s the second highest-graded on 20-plus yard throws and was worth the 12th most wins above average in college football, despite playing in fewer games than everyone else. As said, if I’m Oregon or Oklahoma — I’d be sending the house to pick up Newman for the 2020 season.

It will NEVER be hitting on all cylinders. Even in the 2018 season our offense not as good OSU, Bama, Clemson, OU. It will NEVER be as good as those teams long we keep this shitty scheme and let Coley completely run the show. Chaney was mediocre and Coley sucks.

So you are happy just getting there. How many seasons of missing the playoffs with with top 3 talent before you are not satisfied? 3? 5? 10?

We are still doing less with more even if it even it is a step up from Richt.
