Might just be a talent issue at other places.

Seems hard to believe the talent at Texas and Miami was awful.

Running game yes. Pass pro, not so much. UNC gave up the most sacks in the ACC last season.

I was trying to be positive lol. I’m curious how many of those sacks were on RPO.
Not known as a big recruiter. Struggled to develop OL at Texas and Miami.

Nice job at UNC though.

Georgia is expected to hire back UNC’s Stacy Searels as UGA’s new offensive line coach. The 56-year old Georgia native was the Dawgs OL coach from 2007-2010. @Dawgshq first reported the move.

I like Elarbee. He’s been a disciple of Heupel. He has familiarity in Ga, having worked at UWG and recruiting Ga for years.

Football Scoop has listed 3 candidates.

Auburn OL Coach Will Friend (DO NOT Want)

Former Ohio St OL Coach Greg Studrawa (DO NOT Want)

Baylor OL Coach Eric Mateos (Could be a great hire)

Great NFL OL Coach. I don’t think it’s realistic to have a lifelong NFL guy come down to college and jump into the recruiting gauntlet.

Atkins was quoted yesterday as saying it's Norvell's offense

I never disagreed with this. Could you link the interview? I’d like to check it out.

Norvell would continue to call plays

What he says to the media and the truth are two different things. I heard from him personally that he might call plays.

Regardless, of whether he calls the plays he still does all the duties of an OC and wouldn’t do that at Georgia. It would be a step back. He talked so much about enjoying coordinating an offense, even if he wasn’t calling plays.

OC in title only.

I wouldn’t be too sure on that. He runs the offense, and may be taking over playcalling duties, with Norvell having final say.

Alex Atkins

He ain’t leaving FSU. He’s OC.
Yurcich is a dang good coach. I wanted him to be the OC at Georgia. Would be an excellent hire.

Max is a pretty middling looking athlete for the RPO

RPO has nothing to do with the QB running it.

Brown is a good coach, his issue is he wants to play one way.
Good decision by Aranda. They were awful this year.

Glen Shouman from Georgia

Would be a great hire, wouldn’t fit what O wants to do running a 4 man front though.

re: Why not Dan Quinn

Because when he took over the Falcons D they got worse. That scheme is getting eaten alive, it’s like Tampa 2 was several years ago.

Don’t think O will hire an air raid guy.
quote:

Pelini should have been given at least another year.

Why? He did absolutely nothing to deserve another year. Defense was awful.

think he's referring to some of the trick plays they tried running that were total drive killers.

Trick plays aren’t an offensive philosophy.
