Seems like folks on the twitter machine are hinting at something happening very soon, are we thinking that is Newman? Sounds like Brice would be out considering he isn’t even in the portal yet.

I’d assume they’re in the process of getting Newman or Costello (likely Newman) admitted and enrolled in classes and will announce him later today.

Which would be huge. Spring practice with new QB, I think scholarship is used for this class, AND we can start making memes and gifs sooner.
Also, Wayne Knight was a UGA alum. Coincidence or?

Another big positive with Newman is that he can enroll right away. I'm not sure Brice has graduated. He might have to sit out a year.

He was missing his top two wideouts during the Clemson game and for much of the Virginia Tech game. Just providing context to his struggles since people made the same excuses for Fromm.
Not at all. Context matters. I didn't realize he was missing two receivers. That definitely makes a difference.
And to clarify, I was overall impressed with his highlights. I though he made good decisions when to run and where to run. But, those are the plays they are going to put into a highlight film, so....
Thanks for clarifying about his receivers.

It's Wake Forest. They're almost always going to be the least talented team in the ACC.
Well they finished third to Clemson in their division, so, maybe they were not as bad as you think this year? Maybe that was because Newman elevated them? I don't know.
But Wake Forest was tied with the second best record in the ACC. They were better than 8 other ACC teams and had the same record as 3 other teams. (overall record)

2 years on this guy, or just 1?

1 I believe. Bridge for Beck/Mathis/Bennett...or ideally Brock/Caleb

This should signal to all of us, simple logical deduction really, that we're making a shift in the offensive scheme.
We brought in only dual-threat possible QB transfer options.
We're very likely about to bring a dual-threat QB off the transfer wire to be our starter.
And our two biggest QB recruiting targets for 2021 are both dual-threat.
You have to think this means we're planning to spread the offense out more. RPO, QB keepers/counters/roll-outs, more deep balls as can manufacture time for receivers to reach depth, etc. etc.
No more pocket statue forced to throw solely on timing and dink-n-dunk'ing our way down the field. No more overly dismay feelings about 3rd and long as DL's pin their ears back and we have zero expectation of avoiding pressure if the OL can't contain for 3+ seconds waiting on receiver routes. No more stacked boxes unless they want to see our QB beat them to the sideline for 10 yards every blitz.
The question now is can Coley run this type of offense? And if not, when are we getting someone who can?

These two would definitely be related. Bring in a transfer DT QB and show what the next batch can look forward to.

No better ball control than a dual threat, shite goes wrong and QB takes off not to mention buying time makes the passing game easier.
