2019 highlights

Dude has experience, size, mobility, and an arm. IMO we can win with this guy.

So do we go after him (or another grad transfer) or try to develop the unknown talent we have?

The defense will be championship caliber next year so I feel like we can’t afford to not plug a grad transfer like him in...but 2021 could be rough if we do.

I think he's the guy, but Smart will go get Chase Brice or the Stanford guy, if he gets one at all.

Yeah. . . except the word from 247 is we're heavily involved with Newman and the qb from Boston College. You'll just have to be negative about something else.

Feldman also said that from the Athletic. Think we are very much in it.

It just seems to fit what Smart wants to do. I'd rather have a guy who can kill you two ways rather than one, but who am I to tell Kirby what QB to get. I'd just like a more dynamic QB who can run and throw. It's just tougher to defend. It also opens up potential big plays that a less athletic QB can't do.

I also like Newman more than Brice because he's played more and put up good numbers last year playing with a far less talented team.

Nobody is being negative. Find another post to be upset about, because this isn't it.

I give it less than 24H. We have faith in you. We know you won't disappoint.

We would not be recruiting Caleb Williams if Kirby didn't want a dual threat. We also would not have recruited Fields. The problem is will Smart bring in someone that knows how to utilize a dual-threat QB. Chaney sure as Hell didn't and Coley probably doesn't either.

Why not get him and his OC/QB coach? Warren Ruggiero. He has an impressive resume and obviously uses dual threat QBs. He’s done a good job there.

There's probably not a transfer QB that hasn't had at least one bad game, especially someone that plays at a less than stellar program lacking big time talent.

I'm not sure what Coley knows how to do other than recruit.

I don't think Kirby is opposed to a dual threat QB at all. I just think he was loyal to Fromm because Fromm was his first recruit.

That's a positive post for you. Holy shite, you must be one miserable frick then. And way to avoid the fact that you were wrong on Newman but I expect nothing else from you.
