Kipp Adams just put up an article on 247 saying UGA does have a chance at #1 class and look for them to make a big splash between now and ESD just like last year.

Yeah... Kipp likely only makes this comment if he believes there is a fair amount of validity to the scuttlebutt from Bama "insiders" that was rumored where Dean supposedly told them no (not saying it's accurate, just that it's been rumored) as well as possibly the DJ Williams offer going out (again... rumored. haven't seen anything concrete) indicating less confidence in Sanders. If we win those 2 battles, it certainly flips the tables a bit. Taking elite players in UGA's class is one thing, taking them at the expense of Alabama is the only way they lose the #1 class IMO. (Similar to tOSU last year, not with us taking from them directly, but them losing a couple of highly rated guys late in addition to us closing strong.)

I like the confidence in Sanders. We need a good back coming in with Zues’s health in question. We also need a ILB and Dean is the perfect guy. If we can get those two then our class goes from really good to great. Add in some of the others guys we are after and it could end up stronger than last year which had something like 10guys that had a 5 star on at least one of the major recruiting services.

Apparently some Bama folks on other sites have begun to concede or at least back off Dean and Sanders to Bama. Sounding like the worm began to turn overnight

Meanwhile JC Shurburt has put in CBS for both to Bama. Nobody knows anything and everything sucks.

I know CB’s aren’t exact, but they were flooded with Dean to Bama on 247 overnight. Is Rivals saying otherwise?

ETA: correction, they weren’t all Dean. Sanders, Ish and Neal were included last night

What is the baseline % to be considered acceptable?

Back to my original question, what is Rivals reporting.

I'm sticking with Trent over at Rivals for Sanders. He picked him go UGA last night and put him in his projected class. The guy is 42/42 on the last 2 cycles for UGA recruits. Idc what some guys are saying that aren't even part of recruiting these guys.

If CFball recruiting had a tombstone, this is what it would read regardless of team

Obviously he’ll eventually miss one, and it may be Sanders. But obviously I feel much better about Sanders with credible sources having him in their classes than I would if they weren’t included.

Don’t have a link handy but it was Andrew Bone and a poster on Rivals. Just read on another sit where Bone seemed to be tempering his enthusiasm for both players heading to Bama and the more connected poster who is supposedly close to Dean’s family was reversing course after being adamant about Dean ending up at Bama

Newsletter this morning seemed to indicate that we were picking up a lot of steam with Sanders.
Also, said we asked Plumlee to blue shirt, and that he has not changed his mind about Georgia, but is looking around at options just to make sure.
With us wanting two QB's it makes sense. That means we would take Plumlee and Gabriel. I guess we will have to wait and see.

For those about to ask questions about a blue shirt....it is a way to make the scholarship count towards next years class, I think. The athlete pays a small portion of his scholarship (Summer portion, I believe) and when he enrolls in June/July the tuition kicks in for the school. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Just read on another site

Just keep in mind this is where a lot of these sites make their money....ESD is the new signing day pretty much.

This is their job, to generate clicks as its how they make their money.

Question everything and take nothing as fact.

nothing generates clicks and page refreshes more then national signing day drama and the week up until lol....look for lots of cryptic info with unknown sources and broad, sweeping generalizations.

Wasn’t from a pay site FWIW. It was a copy paste of what a Bama mod from a Bama oaysite had said

Just worried the Sanders momentum isn't a false positive. It's rare recruits show their hand like this but who knows?

Are we not discussing Haselwood because he's likely to come back?

Is it inconceivable we get Sanders, Haselwood and Dean?

Nobody has a clue on Dean, but Sanders and Hasselwood seem to be leaning in our favor.
