How many can we sign?
I thought the number was 25 but we aren't even going to come close to that.

I think between 23 and 25. Don't quote me on that, but it seems that is what somebody said.

25-27 has been rumored throughout the year. We would have to run the table to reach that number:
Brown
Carter
Price
Hardman
Robertson
Wilson
Taylor
Marshall
Burns
Hudson
Williams
Warrior
That would get us 27. There's a 0% chance of that happening. We will be lucky to sign half of those. I'd say we're seriously in play for 8 of them. NSD is a resounding success if we hit 5-6 of them. We probably hit on 3-4 and throw out a late offer or two to get to 20-21. We'll load up in the 2017 class with the leftover spots.
That's at least my opinion.

Wouldn't it be prudent to just start offering more kids for 2016?

Not if you don't think they're good enough

I'm fine with a small class if we fill the appropriate needs. Sure up the OL, DL, RB and get some valuable depth. Only 22 players play and we have an 85 man roster so I will take quality over quantity anyday. That being said, we can't afford to have the RB issues and OL issues we have had in years past.

Obviously I'd love to fill up with quality, but we signed 34 in 2013 and it set us back 3 years. Sunk the talent level on the team.
Gotta get guys who can play. Smart can't reach on his first class. Better to wait for his first full class and get as many guys he wants as possible.

I think we will end up in the mid twenties with some serious quality. I'm not too concerned.

Saw where we might send out a late offer, Arkeem Byrd 3Star RB/S Savannah, GA and would be the favorite if we did.
Don't know where this leaves Crawford, unless he's being taken as a safety.

Looks like we're taking 1 RB in this class. A decision that makes absolutely no sense to me

Byrd and Pollard are 2 guys to look at for late offers. I'm sure there are others, but I know the coaches have kept steady contact with those 2.

One week left until NSD!

How many 5 stars does everyone think we end up with. I say we end up with 4 total closing with Brown and Mecole.

Agree with this. The way the transition went I really didn't expect an outstanding class for 2016. Undersigning like Richt did makes no sense but in these unusual circumstances with a transition coach who was coaching a NC team in the playoffs, it's understandable.

It's going to take a while for the fan base to recover from some of the passive-aggressive shite that CMR did that drove us nuts - habitual under signing, aiming for 3 star players with ZERO intention/ability to coach them up, no mojo on closing big targets, turning NSD into the biggest negative drinking day for Dawg fans, etc.

Wow that is truly bad
If it weren't for Floyd that class would be a total bust. Although a couple of the guys who we still have could be good next year(Carter and Mauger).
