That's good to hear. He's too close for us to lose. Would hate to have a kid with his talent plucked right out of our back yard.

I understand you have to stay in touch, but it seems like a lot of effort if he were truly a silent commit as some have suggested. I mean, one of them could have gone, or they could have touched base by phone if he was silently committed....or am I wrong about this? What is the logic?

Athens is only thirty minutes away. These kids have egos that need to be stroked. Especially when they are getting bombarded with calls from Harbaugh, Myer, Saban, etc. You can't treat him like a lock, even if he is a silent.

This. Got to show we're committed to them to keep them committed to us.

I understand the concern, but Mecole is a 5 star who is still visiting and as far as everyone is concerned, hasn't signed an LOI or even publicly verbally committed anywhere. I'd be mad if they didn't go, if they were given the opportunity/time/etc.

I mean jesus, Harbaugh has probably asked if he can sleep over and share a snuggie with Mecole. The least UGA can do is still show interest.

They are still here. Just got spotted getting a bunch of takeout food from the only restaraunt in Bowman.

Is Tyler Clark an early enrollee? He supposedly "signed" with us today?
Btw we may have the #1 DT in the state locked down next year.

So there!

Boosters aren't permitted to tweet, FB or contact recruits in any way. Let's keep the recruiting to our coaches.

Should we read anything into the fact that Aaron Dowdell decommitted today?
Maybe Pittman has better prospects than a 3* guard?
We really need real-deal tackles...not more guards...
Still Cleveland and Barnes are the only two offensive linemen committed at this moment. That we know of...

Pretty sure you aren't going to find any boosters here.

I completely agree with that. You aren't doing anything but getting on their nerves. I know Mecole, and I don't bother him about it.

Any Georgia fan who tweets to a recruit is an idiot. I'm concerned about fans of rival schools who might send negative tweets while pretending to be UGA fans.

In the sense that we view boosters as people with tons of disposable income to toss around college athletics programs like dollar bills at a strip club? Nah, probably not.
But if you've ever purchased tickets to a UGA football game through the University, congrats you are now and forevermore a booster for Georgia Athletics in the eyes of the NCAA

Virtually every player we have on campus is best suited to play Guard. We have no tackles.

These kids have lives. Part of that is them having fans that interact with them on social media. You will never stop people from tweeting stuff to these kids. It will never happen and compliance departments can't do anything about it because everyone in the nation that has a twitter account and is a prospect has fans on their page.

I have some hope for Kendall Baker. And Big Ben. But seem like right tackles....
We need a Laremy Tunsil or two....
