Pittman offered this kid a couple of days ago and apparently he's on record as saying he'd commit if offered, so...we'll see.

The guy is huge. Everybody he blocks looks like they are 100LBS smaller than him. (He weighs 330LBS)
He keeps his feet moving. Too often when you have a huge OL they tend to lean against whoever they are blocking, but he keeps his feet churning all the time, which is good. He also seems fairly quick for a big guy. My only question would be if he would be able to handle guys closer to his own size. He simply overpowers the smaller guys.
And, if somebody else would look at his HUDL highlight film....they have him listed at OT, but through half the film, I only saw him at guard.

Based on everyone's high opinion of Pittman, looks like the strategy is just to get the biggest guys out there and he will coach them up.

Not just big but also athletic. Recruiting strategy around OLine should always be geared toward getting as many tackles as possible. If they don't work out at the position, they can almost always be easily kicked inside to guard or center. Seems we recruited almost exclusively guards / center type of linemen for the past 5 years or so. When is the last time we had an elite tackle? Sturdivant pre-ACL tear?

I think it definitely helps that Mecole had to cancel his OV to Bama and will be unlikely to reschedule. Him mom said she really enjoyed the in-home with Kirby and Mel. Sounds like we have a good shot but you just never know. David Marshall also tweeted a short video clip of him with the Blackout jersey on and man that kid is well put together. Kirby is after him something fierce and he looks like a "first guy off the bus" type. I hate to wish my life away but im ready for NSD to get here..
