I am having a hard time figuring out why UGA is having a hard time landing more than 1 ILB in this class. The two tope SEC tacklers this year are UGA's 2 ILBs that will both be graduating after next year. I know, the class before was heavy on ILBs, but only two of them have any experience playing this year so the rotation will definitely be up for grabs in 2015. However, I am also really hoping that O'Neal puts it all together and starts showing out next year. Just think he would be a monster against the run.

if you were a defensive stud which would you rather do....try to learn a 400 page play book fpr a mediocre team or play in a simpler system and play for a MNC every year??

I would want to play before I am eligible for retirement.

Doesn't look like he has any offers yet.

From one of his coaches

quote:
”I have done our stats off our film and two others have also and what we came up with is 28 carries for 463 and five touchdowns and also had 10 tackles at free safety and played every play,”

Sounds durable.

Something screwy. Did they change uniforms in the middle of the game? they started off in all grey uniforms then halfway through they were wearing maroon jerseys and white pants.

Probably because we signed 4 last year and the top 2 tacklers in the SEC will return and start. Any ILB looking for early PT won't be getting it at UGA next year.

Love that we have top 2 tacklers, hate that it's always 5-6 yards down the field...

Doesn't help that they usually have a 300 lb DL on roller skates in their face

Sorry buddy but you are way off considering Wilson leads the team with 11 tackles for a loss. Honestly, both ILBs did fine in the run game. Neither is particularly good enough to defend WRs in coverage which is what happened a ton with the option teams.

Uh, Wilson has improved over the season but he's our version of Zach Thomas.

I am not saying that Wilson is all world, and he really can't contribute a whole lot in pass coverage, but considering that he lead the team in TFL, then he obviously wasn't always tackling 6 yards down field. He is also a very big reason that UGA beat USCe. Considering he and Herrera pretty played the whole game, every game, I think they pretty much played about as well as they were capable of playing. Fatigue will always lead to some missed tackles, but those two were often cleaning up others mistakes as well.

There's nothing about our LB corp that would iron clad lock out a true stud frosh. Production doesn't necessarily equate to effectiveness. In this case lots of tackles means the defense couldn't get off the field and was ineffective. Our LB's are neither elitely fast or strong, they just had lots of opportunity because the defense was awful. Leads back to discussion of bad recruiting, bad coaching, etc etc.

I think he is referring to Coach Andy McCollum. More to the point, I think Tech getting an official visit from Malkom would be very tough at this point. No harm in trying I guess. I know I would if I were them; Parrish is a very good athlete. I think he will stick with UGA though.

Didn't look back at all posts but a reminder:

This Saturday Jacob Park (QB) will be playing in the SC HS football championship. Wish him the best... last two games he threw fantastic and he goes up against the #1 seeded Northwestern. Hope the best for him to finish out his HS career as a champion and bring that shite to UGA!
