makes sense. after all the success they had with patterson, hunter, and rogers, you can't blame them for sticking with their model.
They only got 1 solid season out of each of those recievers. Im glad it happened to Rogers, but Patterson was likely 1 and done anyway.

dallasga6 2014 UGA Recruiting Thread (commits, offers, prospects) Yup...checked out his post history, Alter or shitty poster... Not 1 good thing to say about UGA even in a win...This thread is for recruiting info, keep your BS elsewhere...TIA...
Don't be so quick to judge...granted i posted material not relevant to the thread so i apologize for that. I don't apologize for being a dawg fan who expects our team to perform up to the potential they have based on resources available, in state talent, etc, etc. Even in most wins this year we underachieved in many aspects of the game. Based on those facts, there is no reason we shouldn't be mentioned in the same breathe with the premier programs in the nation year after year.....but we all know what holds us back....like it or not. Sorry i'm not one to blow sunshine up your tailpipe when not warranted.

I cannot stand our coaching staff and I haven't liked them in years but I keep my anti-coach spamming at least somewhat regulated and even that is still probably too much. Your incessant bitching almost makes me look content.
You need to vent, go beat your dog or something. Always works for me.

Yeah, just keep the coaching/team issues rants on the main board, JR.
Anyways, since it looks like we won't get any big news until January/NSD just for shits who do a few of you think we end up with in the end that's still on our board?
Seems like we're in good shape with Carter and Green. WR Nate Brown and Ermon Lane seem to be who we might be pursuing hard after Malone now. Rusty has said our staff has contacted Lane but I'm not sure he'll leave the state of Florida even if he decommits from UF.
Also, another WR to look out for is Drevon Jones. Big target at 6'4 and supposedly really impressed the staff at Dawg Night.
My darkhorse: DE Andrew Williams. Rusty has mentioned we've turned the heat up on him, especially since the Russell decommit and Chris Wilson visited him in-home a few days ago. Also good friends with Carter.
My guess for fun: Carter, Green, Williams, and Brown. And if we can't sway Brown I feel like we give the opportunity for Jones to hop on board if he wants it.

Yeah, forgot about him. He's still on our board but I do believe he's Auburn's to lose (just reading in between the lines, IMO). And McMillan is gone as well.

Any OL still on the board that we might go after?

Saw a comment from a 247 follower asking that same question and Rusty said no. So I doubt it unless we have a surprising OL decommit and get desperate.

Word, thanks for the info. If we finish up with those names you mentioned, we should have a top 10 class, no?
Posted on 12/5/13 at 2:09 pm to K9
Yeah for sure. Possibly top 5.
ETA: According to 247 composite we're sitting at 6th right now with 16 commits.

Don't you go and get my hopes up, January is when the cash starts flowing and Georgia just hands out bed bath and beyond coupons

I think we gave up on McMillan around L #3. To hear Rusty Mansell tell it, we might not take another WR after missing on Malone. I hope he's wrong.

Gotta land Carter though.
Posted on 12/5/13 at 2:14 pm to VoxDawg
Yeah we could easily not land another WR. But I think our staff wants one more so that's why I threw Drevon Jones in there.

The coaching staff has been on the stick recruiting 2015-16 OL kids. They're doing great work there.
According to Rusty, everyone the coaches are visiting this week appear to be 2015 targets. Hope they can use some pull to get Ermon Lane on campus.

It's a big year in-state in 2015. Mitch Hyatt, Trent Thompson, Terry Godwin, Taj Griffin, Natrez Patrick, D'Andre Walker, Mekhi Brown, Chuma Edoga, Preston Williams, Christian Owens, Eric Swinney, Arden Key, the list goes on and on.
