Yeah the whole oregon duck notion is dumb. Sony is as prototypical of a RB as there is in this class. He'll likely play at around 225 lbs in college. He doesn't really make me think "Oregon Duck". His best attribute is using a low center of gravity to break tackles.

And even if he's like a Lamichael James, why wouldn't we want that.

I've said this before, but I really think some of our fans have an inclination to undervalue recruits/players who are not from Georgia.

Sony is one of the best players in the nation. We need to hold on to him

That or kids who don't wanna come to UGA day 1 100%. I hate when people bitch about getting "real dawgs" cause that'll just leave us with a GT-esque roster

Jeb Blazevich, 4* TE from North Carolina:

quote:

“I am 100 percent to Georgia, and the only thing that could take that away is a coaching change,” he said. "I don’t think that is going to be the case. How could you go out and judge a staff by almost winning ball games in some cases with third and fourth stringers?

"I think it shows a lot about their character and their will and passion to win. I know a lot of teams that would just fold up.”

Love what that kid is saying but being who I am I just gotta say

quote:

"I think it shows a lot about their character and their will and passion to win. I know a lot of teams that would just fold up.

Well, idk Jeb, what do you call losing to Mizzou and Vandy

Still, love to hear that out of recruits even with my diatribe about people who want only kids like this. Good stuff

Well we lost to Missouri and Vanderbilt so I'd say it's more of a fact

It's a fact that our team quit? Is that what you're saying?

Fold up under pressure =/= quit. 2010 was an example of a Richt team quitting.

Clearly his opinion is because CMR and Georgia Saturday's are built Ford Tough, well at least that is what the commercial says...

FWIW... from Bucknuts

quote:

** ‘Kwon Calls It? … An Ohio high school coach was on the field during warm-ups for the Ohio State-Penn State game Saturday night along with one of his players who was invited for an unofficial visit.
Suddenly, the coach realizes he’s standing next to Raekwon McMillian and strikes up a conversation with the five-star linebacker.
“Maybe I caught him in a moment of jubilation, but he told me, quote, ‘I’m definitely a Buckeye, man,’” the coach said. “He just had this glowing look about him and was saying how much he loves the place. He said, quote, ‘This is where I’ll be playing next year.’”
We heard from a different source Luke Fickell spent several hours before the game on Saturday rolling out the scarlet-carpet treatment for McMillan and his parents. It sure sounds like it worked.

Meh, kids always say stuff like that on trips. If he says it a week after then I'll worry more.
