That's what he's saying, FEMA expects the storm to be much worse than anyone is being led to expect

125+ MPH at landfall and 35+ inches of rain for Corpus and surrounding areas, 25+ for Houston.

This is gonna be really, really bad.

There have been models from today projecting basically 12-50" for Houston. No one knows WTF is going on.

Stay safe and be smart y'all.

Not that everyone believes in it, but I'll definitely be praying for those affected this weekend.

Stay safe y'all. No shame in leaving even if flooding is a small possibility. Get the hell out of there if you can.

If Houston gets 50 inches of rain we're talking about a historic event we'll tell our grandchildren about. All it takes is a good 10-15 inches in a day to shut the city down. Remember the terrible flooding last June? That was just around 20 inches.

At 50 inches the med center will be fricking underwater. With less than half that last year it was flooded up to the platforms on the rail.

I think the 50 deal was one spot in the Houston area in just one forecast. I'm not seeing that forecast repeated now. I think it was a glitch in the algorithm. I'm seeing 20 repeated pretty regularly though. I was in Houston last Memorial Day for the Great Flood and I think that one was 20 in areas. Pretty shitty deal. It'll definitely repeat-flood a bunch of houses, which makes me sick for those people since some of them have lived there for 40 years in a house that wasn't flood prone until 5 years or so ago. That blows.

I don't think 50 is happening. I'm just saying people are throwing all sorts of shite out there. Serious models show there is a shot this thing hits near Corpus, goes back to gulf and reforms voltron, I mean back into a hurricane and smacks Houston on Tue/Wed.

So we're getting showers from tonight until Wed with heavy stuff really coming after we've been pepper by 2 days of medium rain.

Allison was devastating and I think that was 22". The May floods of 2016 and 15 were in the 14-20 range.

shite could be a little bad or shite could be horrific.

Any insider that was it the FEMA meeting this morning is telling people that he knows that what the media is reporting is only about 30% of what they are actually expecting from the storm system . emergency planning is expecting this to be much worse and are asking the media/news to tone it down . Take it for what it's worth

Sounds about right. Fear helps the media sell ads.

This really does blow. Recent development near me has caused water to rise higher than it used to. I had water go into the garage last year, yet we were mostly dry during Allison.

Meh.

Unless the hurricane can blow off a good 10 lbs off of her body, then she is bangable at best.

I'm an a-hole.
