Roger, how did flooding affect your move? I'm scheduled to move from Upper Kirby to the Medical Center (if my new place didn't flood) on Thursday.
Of course I'm all the way in North Louisiana working right now with no way back.

Well I was moving out of Houston, but it involved driving very slowly through scary high water at times. Took two hours to get from the Med Center to beyond the flooding on 290, a drive that normally took 45 minutes even in traffic. Overall it took about 5 hours to get to Temple the day of.

My aunt's backyard in Kingwood, 2 hours ago.
On the left side of the photo you can barely see the pool under water.
Just past the tree line is Lake Houston.
Water finally breached the house, so they've just evacuated by boat.

Don't know how but we are dry and with power after a reported rainfall total of 36 1/4 inches of rain by my neighbor.

That's terrible.
I just got finished cutting up sheetrock in order to dry out and stop any mold growth.
