You are kidding about Denver Harris, right? And WTF? I think Bobby Taylor may be the best recruiter for A&M. I mean, damn ... he and Stewart engineered this so that even the staff was surprised?

Maybe this is a dumb question but when it comes to NIL can pretty much anybody who isn't employed by the school sponsor an athlete?

Could you theoretically go onto TexAgs and crowdsource the funding to start "sponsoring" players?

And if we can do this, should we find a player each year to be tArk spokesperson? Somebody like the backup kicker or something like that?

Not holding my breath on Harris but it wouldn't surprise me a bit. Sip boards (same ones that thought they would get Stewart) think we are in a good position on Harris. Aggie boards have been very quiet on him, really too quiet.

I'm drinking some kool aid for sure but it wouldn't shock me if he just came out of nowhere. He's been very close to the vest and any way you slice it we are just an hour drive for his family to watch him play on what will clearly be a very talented team.

If Harris stays in state he is ours. Think it is Bama though.

My understanding is that there has to be services/work rendered by the players in order for payments to be legal. This can't be a Big Red Motors type of deal. For example, you can hire a player to be a speaker at an event, meet and greet your clients, or pitch your products/services on their social media.

You can't just give out money. The player has to do something in return. If you're serious about sponsoring players, you should contact the university's compliance department and they'll either give you the green light or put you in the right course.

I think Surly is paying players 4 figures to do meet and greets.

People should definitely at least buy player merch at CC. Even if it's just towels or have no plans on ever wearing the merch.
