We are getting stomped right now which I didnt expect to see. Perroni is saying that he doesnt expect it to be over with Lewis so thats at least encouraging but still. Rough go of it this spring for us

This staff seems to be much more likely to pursue difficult targets, compared to the last staff... but our mods say this about every "lean" that commits somewhere else

Seems like almost a year ago, people thought we were getting stomped, too. Texas got Broughton and that CB, and people were freaking out. I'm just not gonna freak out with this staff.

Once people are allowed back on campus and visits can resume I believe most of this will shift around in our favor. But I agree, I refuse to panic right now

Looks like DE Jordon Thomas is committing tomorrow, and it'll probably be texas. Rumor is they're making up a lot of ground on Deuce Harmon too. Not looking too good for in-state prospects this year.

Last year wasn't all that great either.
As long as we land a couple of guys like Foster, Burris, Fatheree, Crownover, Harmon, and maybe 1-2 of the higher-end guys we can supplement with quality players elsewhere. I want good players. All things the same I want them from Texas, but if they're not then no big deal.

Should we be concerned that Jimbo is recruiting nationally and skipping out on local talent? We all know that Texas HS football coaches are power-hungry, egotistical shite-turds who want to have their egos stroked.
Not going after their players seems like a quick way to piss them off in the long run.

Probably cause for a little concern in the long run, but honestly IDGAF about HS coach egos in the short run. Not with what we're trying to build towards.

Those kids also have to want to come to A&M. I’m sure the staff is recruiting the state hard but at the end of the day those kids have to want to play for A&M
