Ok, I'll admit it.... He banged my wife and didn't even call her back for a second date :wah: :wah: :wah:

I mean that would at least explain this outrage, and I wouldn’t hold it against you.

It's more likely his wife banged your wife based on past precedent

The known number of men is three, but there's always more.

He’s 3rd highest paid, and 4th when harbaugh earns his bonuses. For stealing 1/4 championship coaches I’d say that’s pretty fair. Not to mention 3rd highest pay this year will drop down the ranks each year.
He will either win and we will raise it, or we will buy him out. It’s seriously a non-issue.
Sumlin dropped from 3rd highest paid to 10th in like 3 years.

In the 5% chance there is no raise or buyout in 7-8 years, 7.5 million will probably look down right economical.

Well at some point I think we are going to reach a limit in this industry. That is not to say that contract values won't keep going up, but rather to say eventually i think even the top programs aren't going to be able to justify spending 10M on a coach per year. Not without changing the nature of coaching contracts in general, possibly to be more incentive based or possibly to rearrange what is a firable offense (meaning perhaps 6-6 seasons could be firable offenses when you are paid 10m?)
I don't know that they money will plateau, but I do think the contracts will start to be more creative and put more onus on a coach making big money to perform.

^^^ has finished 3rd, 4th, and 4th in his DIVISION.
Also never won the pac12 and actually only had 1 good season at Stanford before he dipped.

I think DrRC is trying to take a dig at CGSC and his ‘extend sumlin’ threads/posts by constantly beating that same drum, albeit to a different tune?
You could very well be onto something here

Dr RC, you seem like a very bitter person and nothing seems to ever please you.

Didn't think about that. We paid 5 Million per year for Sumlin and that seems to be the standard now after 4 years for hot coaches.
We may have purchased at a high price today, but we locked him in at what may be a cheap rate in 5-6 years from now.
