Not quite.
Sure it is. We had a contractual relationship, and A&M failed to fulfill its contractual obligations.

I'm about 99.9% sure you haven't even read the bowl contracts, much less know where to look for them.

I was contracted to review the MoU years ago. You would be 100% wrong.

So TA is crowd sourcing NIL money now. They are doing subscriptions that will fund NIL deals for players to do the weekly interviews etc. But in order to contribute you have to subscribe to TA. Pretty genius if you ask me.

I don't think it's genius as in you'll get more subscribers. It's more of an add-on for the already paying customers. But still, it's a way to get a bunch of Ags giving money to A&M athletes which will help to recruit.
I don't think it'll be hard to find 5,000 subscribers. Average it out to ~25 per month. That's 1.5 M a year easily. If they're giving 10k an interview that's 150 athletes with some money in their pocket.

The Stacked subscription delivers content created in partnership with current student athletes. Stacked gives you increased access to these elite athletes that proudly wear the maroon & white while allowing them to be compensated for their name, image and likeness (NIL).
Stacked is an add-on subscription that is combined with a TexAgs Basic, Premium or Varsity subscription on a monthly or annual basis. A minimum of 75% of the proceeds from Stacked subscriptions go to compensating participating student athletes for their NIL and role in creating the content.
Stacked is offered in three different levels: Stacked-10, Stacked-25, and Stacked-100. Each level has the same access to player interviews and features. Subscribers to the Stacked-25 annual level (or 10 months of Stacked-25 within the calendar year) will receive a print or similar item commemorating the year and participating athletes. Subscribers to the Stacked-100 annual level (or 10 months of Stacked-100 within the calendar year) will receive a similar item signed by one or more participating athletes. Commemorative items will delivered after the conclusion of the calendar year.
Stacked subscribers will also receive a level-specific badge on their user profile and next to their username in TexAgs forum conversations.

I could see folks that want to help with NIL but were not previous subscribers sign up just for the help it would be with athletics. But you are right that it is most likely for those who already subscribe.

This. There are a LOT of folks out there that don't feel good about paying a message board money (esp folks that hate Liucci or Texags in general) but the ability to funnel money to support athletes is a significant gamechanger. I could see a lot of folks taking out the $5/mo subscription for instance and then giving $100/mo for Stacked.
How many folks at Kyle donate $5k or more for season tickets (esp counting their block of 2 or 4 or whatever)? A LOT of those folks won't bat an eye at dropping an extra grand to go to NIL.
I would be surprised if this doesn't get into 7 figures within a few days and could end up being several million a year.
The fact it is connected to TA btw has additional advantages recruiting wise. How many of these recruits will come in for visits and get taken over to the TA studios with an Aggie player who gives an interview and can talk about how he is getting paid? It's a slick setup and with just a little planning it can give A&M a really nice selling point. The fact Texags is right across the street from Kyle and calls and is talking to recruits as well is significant.
This isn't about how much folks may dislike this guy or that at TA, say what you will about their opinions and moderation but they are very professional in how they treat recruits. You can hate Looch but realize this is going to benefit us and of course no one should feel compelled to participate.
The funny thing to me is I don't think there was nearly the amount of organized NIL going on everyone thinks there was but this will definitely will be. It's the perfect vehicle for crowd sourcing serious money to athletes in a legal way.

I'm not giving any money to that site regardless of any potential benefits.

We are all shocked. SHOCKED I TELL YOU!
I agree with the above, it will probably do well and seems like a good idea to crowdsource NIL stuff for our players. I don’t pay for premium or anything over there, still just a regular subscriber for the basic boards, so I probably won’t be doing it but I bet there are a lot of ags that will. Good for TA getting out ahead of this NIL stuff. For once it’s seems like A&M in general isn’t playing catch-up with what other schools/athletic departments are doing.

I'm hopelessly biased, partly because my uncle Frank who is mentioned died today, but this is the best sports article you will ever read. No foolin'.
