he's had no feel at all for anything. Changes are all sailing. Slider is useless (though they have swung at some in the dirt).

I'm not a fan of the game RC is calling as he's really not throwing many FBs. It's like Dox is a junk baller. But gameplan, discussion between the two, yada yada, it's hard to judge.

I'd just like to see him establish his fastball the next inning or he's not making it much longer in this game.

Nice efficient inning thanks to Blaum.

Really amazing that I feel like Dox has just been awful but here we are in the 6th and he's gutting it out with his worst stuff of the season.

I think I appreciate that even more than the dominant outings.

He’s getting ground balls. I guess the slider (cutter?) is working.

I pretty much hate all bunts so I've decided to quit saying that every time we bunt

Foster has beautiful raw power
It’s a shame we don’t see it more honestly

He’s got the fastest batspeed on the team. It usually seems like he feasts on lower level pitching, but doesn’t do as much vs Friday & Saturday type starters.

Totally agree. I’ve always been fascinated with his potential but not sure if it will turn into anything . Felt the same way about Adam Smith

I have to say sometimes I take the athleticism RC recruits for granted.

That SC 2nd baseman made a hard play look super hard earlier and my thought was he should have made it. Watson (? I think) beat it out. But then rewatching it, it was just super awkward.

Blaum would have made it though and I don't think it would have appeared like a particularly tough play for him.

I like recruiting athleticism at this level I just feel like outside of a few years the player development has been sub par position player wise. That’s probably my chief complaint with RC. We do get very solid athletes and it’s why we’re always pretty solid up the middle defensively.

That's probably #3 on my list.

1. He seems to have a puckered a-hole in big games. This generally expresses itself by overmanaging but whatever, that tightness carries over to the team.

2. He's too old school. The game has evolved a lot and he's just a dinosaur. A good one which is why he's lasted but it irks me. I'm soooo in on the analytics revolution.

I agree on 2 and might have changed my mind. 1 I still feel like the postseason is so random.

I will give the man credit he can take a pancake of clay and mold it into a pretty solid D1 pitcher. And I feel like we rise up when expectations are low

My RC rants are done
