So today was the first day of spring ball, and there was no music during practice. We're already one step closer to a National Championship

Heard there was plenty of practice on handoffs and center-QB exchange while media was there.

Looks old there, but I’ll take it

I think it's an IG filter.

Interesting... the players have their names on front of their helmets. Is that to help the new staff lol?

When I played in HS we always had our names on the helmets in the front. It was precisely so the coaches knew who they were yelling at

We had them in high school but 7-8 years I’ve spent around A&M practice I don’t remember it. Maybe on jerseys

Looks like all the OL and DL are wearing them, with all the head injury stuff coming out, it looks like the staff is taking extra precautions for the big guys that do a lot of helmet on helmet hitting.

Day 2 practice notes from Tarp
quote:
They did the sideline drill with all three units of the defense. First unit DE – Landis Durham (right), Micheal Clemons (left) DT – Kingsley Keke, Justin Madubuike ILB – Tyrel Dodson, Otaro Alaka Rover – Buddy Johnson CB – Debione Renfro (left), Charles Oliver (right) S – Derrick Tucker, Donovan Wilson
Second unit DE – Tyree Johnson (right), Ondario Robinson (right) DT – Josh Rogers, Daylon Mack ILB – Anthony Hines, Santino Marchiol Rover – Ikenna Okeke CB – Roney Elam (right), Myles Jones (left) S – DeShawn Capers Smith, Larry Pryor
Third unit DE – Mitchell Howard, Jayden Peevy DT – T.D. Moton, Landry Estes ILB – Riley Garner, Braden White Rover – Mac Labhart CB – Antonio Howard, walk on S – Devin Morris, Keldrick Carper Sophomore
Jayden Peevy was going through individual drills at defensive tackle although he was at defensive end in the sideline drill. He was in a yellow jersey. In contrast, wideout Quartney Davis was still in a yellow jersey and not going through drills. We did not see Moses Reynolds today or yesterday.
Redshirt freshmen Ondario Robinson and Santino Marchiol were both out there today as people were asking about them yesterday. The backers were split into two groups during individual drills with Anthony Hines, Otaro Alaka, Tyrel Dodson, and Santino Marchiol in one group. The other group included Buddy Johnson and Ikenna Okeke.
We said beforehand that junior college transfer Jace Sternberger would get a lot of work because the Aggies only had three tight ends on campus and he continued to be a busy man today along with redshirt freshmen Camron Horry and Keynel McZeal. He’s taken part in virtually every drill. The quarterbacks were warming up while the remaining players were going through special teams drills.
Shane Johnson, the dual threat quarterback who turned down a scholarship at Kent State to walk on at A&M, was out there. They were practicing running forward like they were escaping pressure and then throwing the ball. Sophomore Clifford Chattman was working with the corners in drills. He looked relatively fluid in special teams drills.
The offensive line did sled work and individual drills. They also went 11 on 11 at the beginning and they were lined up the same as yesterday. First unit LT – Koda Martin LG – Keaton Sutherland C – Erik McCoy RG – Jared Hocker RT – Carson Green
Second unit RT – Kellen Diesch RG – Ryan McCollum C – Colton Prater LG – Grayson Reed LT – Dan Moore They still haven’t released an updated roster. No Jimbo Fisher today. He’ll be available tomorrow.

But...but...Athlon said we could only have success if Colton Prater returned to form.
