Why are women over-represented in football themed commercials?

Maybe 5% of the female population watches football.
And the products they are selling in those commercials are generally things men buy.
I'm not offended or triggered by it, I'm just confused by it.
It's like a commercial on a chick show with men selling tampons, it doesn't make sense.

I don’t necessarily have a problem with it usually but it does seem like there are way more this year than previously.
Like yes there are women football fans. But don’t sit here and tell me there are 3-4 women getting together to grill out to watch a football game
