As consumers, we should boycott these games and demand better product for our money.

Ohio St. has played one ranked team all year, Texas. Their entire year is cupcake.

Eastern Illinois University doesn’t even qualify as a cupcake.
I am familiar with the school having won a state track championship at EIU decades ago. Illinois a big competitive state so memories and interest stick. Good stadium for a track meet, not so much for football.
The school’s enrollment has plunged by half over the last 20 years. They are desperate for students. It is now a small university. Recruiting for football has to be challenging in a flat featureless town with little to do and with mostly students from Central Illinois. Very difficult for EIU because an education major (historically a plus for them) pales in comparison to Illinois State two hours up the road and which is just as easy to get in.
This may seem an odd comment for this board but the Chicago suburbs send large groups of students to Auburn Alabama, Georgia and so on. Over half of Illinois students leave the state.
I am astounded this game has been scheduled.

A lot of the "quality" teams don't necessarily want to put a UGA on their OOC schedule, they are just trying to make a bowl game, and maybe just maybe make a playoff in a dream season.
There's not a line of schools 100 deep trying to play a big SEC school voluntarily.

Portnoy is a certified jerk. Name me one Power 4 team that doesn't do this. Heck, outside of OSU, Indiana and Oregon the entire B1G is nothing but cupcakes.
