They showed everyone else the blueprint on what not to do on defense.

or maybe y’all aren’t as good as you thought

Whether LSU was your superbowl or not, you were playing a coach that most on your team are very familiar with (trends, habits, etc) and it was a super emotional game

the other thing is that with NIL there is a lot more parity

Is a coaching issue.

LSU would have beat Ole Miss by two touchdowns if Leavitt had a decent game. There were wide open receivers all game. Ole Miss is a 4-5 loss team.

Really shows how much LSU was the Rebs’ Super Bowl.

It didn't help that Kiffin had Blake Bake put together a defensive game plan that went away from their own player's strengths. LSU played a lot of zone coverage with a lack of the disguised blitzes Baker likes to use.

Not only that but Sam Leavitt decided too often to just run instead of reading coverages & making throws. When he did, his accuracy was inconsistent.

I said in the summer that it seemed like they were more worried about winning that one game than they were having a good year.

I was wondering how this would play out once this happened.

The Rebs expended so much energy and emotion into the Kiffin revenge Bowl that you shot your wad. A three pump chump.
