Should have just centered the ball and kicked the FG. If you don’t have a kicker that is automatic from under 40 in today’s NFL, you deserve to lose.
Make no mistake, being tied with Arkansas deep into the 4th quarter and only winning by 7 is a loss.

McElwain was not a bad coach from a purely on-the-field perspective. He failed because he was lazy/disorganized and allowed certain aspects of the program to go to shite, namely recruiting and strength and conditioning.

I give the edge to Auburn because of the home field/crowd advantage and the continuity on defense with Durkin.
But like someone else said, no result would surprise me because both coaches inherited works in progress who are going to take more than one offseason and two games to fix.
