The top 4 current teams in the 247 team rankings are Saban and his proteges.

Obviously it's still early. But...

1 Georgia
2 Bama
3 Texas A&M
4 Oregon

I'm actually most surprised to see Oregon so high. They were usually only top 20-25 under Chip Kelly. Mario Cristobal is pulling talent there like nobody ever has.

Pretty simple. They play AU next year. No one spots programs on the rise like Jay Jacobs

Also Cristobal is a ridiculously good recruiter

Like we've been telling this board in numerous posts - Mario Cristobal and maybe Tosh is far and away the best recruiter that Saban has ever had, maybe the best in the country. He is truly incredible, a very impressive man. It's not hot air that he sells.

They may be better but they are not far and away better than Smart. To be clear I’m not arguing that they aren’t better, just the far and away part.

I haven't seen anything to make me believe they're better than Smart.

Not trying to turn this thread into a trollfest Unlike this jackwagon, but doesn't the barn carry the banner for cheating per the NCAA?

Actually, they were in the 10-15 range under Chip.

Taggart started it last year with a class that was no.1 at one point in the offseason.

Uat was the only program that was "staring down the barrel." Just be glad Saban's best buddy is the head of the ncaa.
