Lots of rumors this morning from reputable folks that josh downs is considering a transfer and that Bama is his likely destination. This kid would be wr#1 in the portal now or in the future.

Yeah I don’t get it. If you’re going to leave your current program where you are already established and, by all accounts, enjoy the school then it only makes sense to go somewhere that can both showcase your ability for the NFL and maximize your chance for a natty. I love where we are headed but Bama is in a better position to win next year and it’s been awhile since Jimbo has showcased an NFL WR.
There's no difference between Bama/LSU/A&M in terms of NFL scouting. Absolutely none. He wouldn't change a thing going to A&M or Bama.

True but if he did leave, Bama would be a far better option than A&M. I don't think he leaves but I do think Bama will grab Josh downs and the UTEP guy, Cowing.

Jimbo has become increasing mediocre since Winston left. He finished 10-3 the two seasons immediately Winston's departure. Since he's gone 5-6, 9-4, 8-5, 9-1, and 8-4.
Fify again.

The issue with Jimbo at FSU was once they won NC it was all down here from there. Player entitlement, off field issues and suspensions, and the worst academic progress of any P5 program. Jimbo had no control over it and why he left.
That is where if I was an aTm fan I would have the most concern. NIL is going to create far more entitlement now and if Jimbo does not do a better job of navigating it the culture will become far worse at College Station.

He's literally turned into an 8-4 coach. Glad to know you're satisfied.

Don’t give them fair warning. Jimbo is building the next dynasty according to this board. Let them celebrate a recruiting title since it gets them as giddy as winning an actual title. Many aggy fans I talked to believe all of these kids wanted to come to A&M strictly because of Jimbo and the atmosphere at home games.

We all cant funnel money through a children's hospital to the parents of our recruits

No y'all just funnel it straight up the arse.

Guess what? NIL is purely about money!! Get a freaking clue and quit whining about it. Your school either gets on board and develops a smart way to handle NIL or you simply lose. Nothing more to say. All the other noise is simply jealously and an attitude of living in an unfair world. Keep that up in life and see how successful you are. I know I would fire you arse with that attitude.

Except you have not won anything yet either. You are assuming all the money you threw at recruits will equate to winning.

Are you ing to say there is no correlation between getting the best players and winning?

Yes, look at LSU under its last two coaches. LSU won 2 championships despite the coaches.

It is part of the equation but does not guarantee winning without player development and will not guarantee long term success.
Getting a top class every year will put you in the position to win but it takes a lot more than that sustain a program so we will see.
