I cant believe LSU let Max walk. He was a good QB in a bad situation. His numbers blew Bo Nix out of the water. Both had similar lines and WR play.

If you sign 3 4 star tight ends, one may work out, one sucks and one transfers. Boom you have 1 TE. It doesn’t hurt to sign multiple guys. If they want to come here let them come.

They didn’t. Walker Howard is coming in and Kelly wanted to bring in a transfer to bolster depth. Brad Johnson said no to that idea and pushed his sons elsewhere.

Yeah but it’s one position. You don’t sign 3 QBs per class or 3 running backs.

It makes sense to sign multiple LB/DL/OL due to what you described.

Obviously I have no experience managing a college football roster but just logically it seems weird.

The whole family has great smiles. They will be great Aggies. For a year before they become Razorbacks and then Hurricanes .

We signed like 5 RBs a couple years back.

It was only 4: Corbin, Jackson, Strong, and Prince

The Swedish kid classified up and would normally have been 2023. Considering his background it’s a stone cold lock he needs to redshirt, so it’s hard to consider him part of this class IMO. Taking Johnson is just a case of taking a best player available because we can

We’ve also talked about using two TE sets for Fisher’s entire time here so maybe we will actually will now

I like Two tight end sets more than 4 or 5 WR

Given Smith's, Cupp's and Garza's injury history, they may not play.

I remember reading that you can never have too many running backs. Besides, more than one plays unlike QB.

Wonder if that will have any impact on Green.
Still, makes sense to boost a position - if both are good, one will hit the portal most likely.

Wish he would have stuck at LSU

But that’s the problem when Max Johnson pulls out. You no longer have a tight end

I get it for us, but what’s in it for Max? I guess a fresh look and new place to compete, but I’d argue he’d have a better shot at winning the job at Lsu than A&M.

Going to the same school as and playing with your brother is huge, especially far from home. Family nearby gives you an anchor in life. Prior to this commit I would have thought 0 chance Max would want to walk into the QB minefield upcoming next year, but with his brother there I assume he's a lock.

He's signed. Green has been one of the leaders of this class. He even retweeted some edits for Jake. Seems like a good dude who supports his teammates already. That said, I think Green is the better prospect between the two. There is a world where both can be successful here at A&M.

Minimal. A&M has 3 tight ends right now who have had multiple surgeries and Wright is a converted DL.
