Bruce spent 3 years out of coaching + 2 years in the wilderness at AU. He's getting ready to blow shite up when he gets "his" guys in there.

Congrats to Pearl...

But wasn't Wiley pretty much an AU lock from start? I mean, Pearl would literally need to take a dump on his mom for him to go somewhere else.

That's pretty amazing. Now he needs to get them on-campus, into school and keep them around a year or two (and then actually coach them on the floor).

We haven't been to the big dance in a decade...I don't care where he's getting them, that's a big get. I'm just excited that I might be able to see us be competitive before I die.

Yep. Should go without saying when you realize the only two 5*s committed for the 2017 class yet are committed to Auburn and Western Kentucky.

We started off top 5 or 10 last year and ended up with the #25 class... Which still isn't bad considering we only signed 3 guys.

BUT we also have PG Davion Mitchell commited who's the #35 player in the country and on the borderline of being a 5*. And we basically have our pick of two other in-state 4* PFs. Not sure how many we sign this year, but if we sign at least 4 we should be at least close to a top 10 class

I've got to give credit where credit is due. To have Auburn #1 in anything with where that program was just 3 years ago is nothing short of impressive.

I'm sure the #1 spot is some window dressing and they won't be able to maintain that through the entire season, but to even be at this point is pretty amazing.

Arkansas at #6

This will change soon since most schools only have one committed.

Laugh if you want, but consider the fact that Auburn hasn't had more than 3 players in the last 10 years that were D-1 quality, let alone P5 quality. It's pretty amazing that he's even in the conversation for some of these players.

It's very similar to the way Freeze was able to get all those recruits to Ole Miss...

Bruce is doing something right. He has proved that he can get the attention of top recruits even though AU is an Under Armor school. He's bucking the trend. Good for AU.

The problem with AU and UA , the little quality talent in the State went elsewhere . That is changing.

I'm amazed he is still in coaching. What a POS for grilling out for some kids.

Only at Tennessee could Lane Kiffin and Bruce Pearl be the head coaches at the same time. Can you imagine the tums bill for the compliance staff?

Aubbies just better pray that he does not cheat again, or get caught cheating. He does have quite the rep for doing so, and not at just one school. I like the guy & hope he does well but his rep is out there.
